平成２６年９月４日（木）アメリカ合衆国ワシントン州タコマ市出身のジェフ先生が神崎高校のＡＬＴとして着任されました。着任式では、校長先生よりジェフ先生の紹介があり、その後ジェフ先生より挨拶がありました。～ジェフ先生の紹介～ジェフ先生はアメリカの青年たちが海外協力ボランティア活動を行うピースコープ（平和部隊）のアメリカ版（国内で活動を行う）アメリコープに入隊し、さまざまな援助活動を経験されました。また、大災害発生時に、アメリカ政府の政府機関、連邦緊急事態管理庁の一員として、ハリケーン「カトリーナ」が発生した際に活動されてきました。その他にも、ＡＬＴとして世界各国からアメリカへ移民や難民として入国した人々に英語を身につけさせる仕事にも従事されていました。趣味は読書で、アメリカやロシアの古典文学を好み、自分でも創作することもあるそうです。気さくで明るく、イケメンのジェフ先生と共に、神崎高校をより活気あるものにしていきたいと思います。～ジェフ先生の挨拶文です～ Thank you for welcoming me to your school. I am happy to be in Japan. I have been here two times. However, this is the first time I have lived here. Everyone is very kind. You have heard some of my hobbies. I also like listening to rock music, and playing guitar. And I love Japanese comedy, such as Downtown. I am sorry I don’t speak Japanese. I hope you’ll help me learn, and I can help you learn English. Please practice your English with me any time. I can talk to you about America, if you want. Please ask me.
