Announcement
SCT, the shorttrack club Thialf in Heerenveen, has the honour and pleasure to announce that the
StarClass Competition, will be held on: 2015, January 30/31 and February 1st at the ice ring
Thialf (address: Pim Mulier 1, Heerenveen internet: http://www.thialf.nl).
The competition will be organized in accordance with the 2014 Regulations of the International
Skating Union, the 'StarClass Rules Regulations 2014/2015' and the conditions included in this
Announcement.
Entries
Entries can be made by the Club of the respective athlete or by the Member of the International
Skating Union.
In case of an unmanageable number of entries reductions can be made by the organizer together
with the Coordination Group. In this respect the total number of skaters in all categories per club
may be limited and/or the number of Clubs may be limited. Principles like global representation,
regional representation and first come, first serve shall be applied.
Preliminary Entry
Entries must include:
! the title of the competition;
! the name of the Club and ISU Member making the entry;
! the number of athletes in each category;
! the number of coaches and teamleaders.
The Entry must be submitted not later than December 30th 2014 and shall be made via
www.shorttrackonline.info
Final Entry
The Final Entry specifying/confirming:
! the given name (first) and surname of the competitor;
! date of birth of each competitor;
! data requested for seeding purposes (only the best time 500m distance; skated
within the current or the preceding season will be accepted);
! the International Registration Numbers (UPID).
The Final Entry must be submitted not later than Januari 25th 2015 and shall be made via
www.shorttrackonline.info
All Entries must be accompanied of sufficient documentation of the performances in Mass Start
Competitions or Time Trail and all requirements of the ISU Regulations must be fulfilled.
All teamleaders are very urgently requested to inform the organizers of any changes upon
departure from their hometown, at the very latest.
Entry Fee
An Entrance Fee of € 10,00 must be paid to the organizers for each accredited person, e.g. for
every athlete and for every coach/team leader. Per Club one coach/teamleader does not have to
pay the Entrance Fee.
Conditions of Contest
The Qualifying Schedule on each distance shall be based on an “All Finals System” in all
categories.
The All Final System is used in order to guarantee a minimum number of races to all participants.
The organizers reserve the right to change the programme due to unforeseen circumstances.
Qualification
Skaters may be entered who have attained any one of the Qualifying Times in a Mass Start
Competition. (Listed on a Members Calendar, ISU International Calendar and ISU events.) Proof
must be supplied by submitting time, date and venue of the Event. See rule 202 Memorandum
2014-2015 Starclass Series.

Award of prizes
* On Friday and Saturday, the program will be divided in two parts, depending on the entries.
The program is tentative and subject to change by the organizing club and the referee. A more
detailed program will be published on www.shorttrackonline.info in the week before the
competition.
Track
The track is an artificial refrigerated indoor ice surface with the measures of 30x60
meters, protective padding will cover the boards. The standard track 111,12 meters to the lap with
measured curves of 8,50 meters and there will be 7 markers used to establish the curve. The
length of the straight is 28,85m. Besides the original track there will be 4 tracks set up to preserve
good ice conditions. For all tracks one finish line will be used. The padding system is according
the ISU Communication 1726.
Award of Prizes
Prize for the first - second and third classed in the final results for each category. During award
ceremonies, the skaters should be in club or National tracksuits.
Medical Assistance
Doctor and paramedical personnel will be present on competition days. There will be an adequate
responsetime for ambulances to be on site in case of need.
Medical Insurance
It is the sole responsibility of each Member, on behalf of its participating clubs, to ensure or
provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes. Proof of such shall be requested by the
Organizing Committee. See I.S.U. Rule 119.
Liability
In accordance with I.S.U. Rule 119, the Organizing Committee assumes no responsibility with
respect to medical, bodily or personal injury or property loss or damage sustained or caused in
connection with this competition.
Parking Fee
Near the ice ring Thialf you have a free parking area.
Board and Lodging
The participating teams are responsible for their own breakfast, meals and accommodation.
During the competitions days there are drinks en fruits available for the atletes.
Fysio
During the competitions days there is free fysio for the atletes. This is made possible by

Hotel
We have arranged a limited contigent in the Hotel Heidehof Heerenveen for 30.1. – 1.2.2015.
The rooms will be available from 3 p.m. on arrival day until 11 a.m. on departure day.
This Hotel is nearby Thialf, ca 500 meter.
