STORYTELLERS OF NEW MEXICO, INC. “When we dream alone, it is only a dream; when we dream together, it is the beginning of Reality.” (Brazilian Proverb) Vol. 18 Issue No. 1 JANUARY – FEBRUARY – MARCH 2015 2015 NEW YEAR THOUGHTS NEWSLETTER STORYTELLERS OF NEW MEXICO 18 years ago a small group of storytellers gathered to launch Storytellers of New Mexico, Inc., a nonprofit devoted to the preservation and practice of the oral tradition. In the intervening years, several founding members continue to form the backbone of STNM, volunteering their time to keep storytelling alive and well in the Land of Enchantment. We welcome your participation in this mission through participating in STNM events and serving on the STNM Board of Directors. The Board meets only 4 times a year, with members able to identify areas of particular interest in which to focus their energy. This newsletter outlines some of STNM’s proposed initiatives for 2015. Consider participating in these endeavors – sharing your energy, your ideas, and/or a bit of your time. Thanks! 18th ANNUAL BOARD ELECTIONS – OPENINGS! MIGHT YOU SERVE IN ONE OF THESE POSITIONS?
