Knights of Columbus Sweet Heart Dinner
The Annual Sweetheart Dinner will be held on
Sunday, February 15, 2015 P.M. with dinner at
Tavern-On-The-Rail at 6:00 P.M.
Dinner choices are beef tips, rosemary chicken, or grilled
salmon.
The price is $26.00 per ticket and tickets will available for
purchase after Mass from the Knights for the next
several weeks. There will be limited capacity. We
encourage you to get tickets early. This event is open to
all parishioners.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
When there is a question as to if there will
be weekend Masses because of inclement
weather, please check our website,
www.louisacatholics.org, for up to the
minute information. When in doubt, for your
own personal safety, please stay home.
Advent Angels
Thank you to all of our Parish "Angels" for supporting this years very successful Combined Social
Ministry Holiday Program.
Our Program and charities included the Angel Trees, Food For the Holiday gift cards, and baskets for
our Louisa Healthcare parishioners among others.
Through your generosity, our Angel Tree Program provided gifts to 105 children in 44 families. Food
Lion gift cards ranging from $25 to $200 (depending on family-size) were also given out to these
families which totaled 152 people.
In addition, over 25 knit hats were made by Geri Heino and Aileen Frazee which were provided to select children.
Pat Wilson, Chairman of the County Santa Council also donated books that were given to the
children. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. Again, thanks to all of you for making this hap-
SOCIAL MINISTRY
For the month of January we will be collecting personal
hygiene / toiletries for our needy neighbors which will be distributed by the Food Bank. Items such as shampoo,
conditioner, toothpaste and brushes, shaving cream, razors,
and the like are needed. Noteworthy is that these nongrocery items cannot be purchased with the Virginia EBT
card. The donation box for IC is located in the Social Hall and in the
Narthex at St Jude. THANK YOU all for helping our needy neighbors.
