MEN ASKING DIRECTIONS: FINDING OUR WAY ON THE JOURNEY
Men have a reputation for not asking for directions when it becomes apparent that we are
not going where we thought we were going. Paul tells us in Philippians 1:6 with confidence
that we WILL reach our destination. "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work
in you WILL bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." The problem is that in the
here and now, we often fail to see much progress. At work there is disappointment, at home
we often fail to love as we should. We can grumble and complain, and
wonder if perhaps we've taken a wrong turn. Where is the joy of our
salvation? Please join us at Shocco Springs, Friday evening and Saturday
morning, January 30 & 31, for food, fellowship and an opportunity
to be encouraged about what God is doing to complete in us what
He has begun. The cost is $80.00. Hope to see you there!

Sunday School ~ WINTER Semester
NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS BEGINS JANUARY 11

Church history began before Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the Wittenberg door.
Unfortunately, many of us are only familiar with church history over the past 500 years,
but there is so much more. This winter and spring we will look at how the church
became what it is today starting from the Patristic writers and going through the Church
Councils, the Great Schism, the Crusades, the Inquisition, and yes, the Reformation.
Erik McDaniel will be teaching this class in L4 (Vic Minish’s classroom).
Rick Searle will be teaching an Inquirer’s Class beginning January 18 for anyone interested in joining the church, in the Board Room.
