Swisscontact promotes economic, social and ecological development by supporting people to successfully integrate into local commercial life. The focus of its systemic intervention in the private sector is the strengthening of local and global value chains. Through its projects, Swisscontact works to enable access to professional training, promotes local entrepreneurship, creates access to local financial service providers and supports the efficient use of resources with the goal of successfully promoting employment and income generation. Swisscontact is active in 26 countries and has some 800 employees. The organization is based in Zurich. Swisscontact is currently preparing a project application for participating in a competitive tendering process for a global enterprise growth and entrepreneurship project. For this purpose, we are looking for three (3) Entrepreneurship / Start-up Specialists (Full Time) one to be based in Peru, one in Viet Nam and one in the Western Balkans (country tbc). Employment start Contract duration Place of duty Contract Responsibilities Requirements open / indicatively June/July 2015 4 years with option of renewal 1) Western Balkans 2) Peru 3) Viet Nam International Implement, drive and where necessary adapt the global defined strategy for the respective country(ies) Improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem, plan and coordinate interventions that will lead to enterprise growth and create jobs and income Organize and manage technical short and long term experts Link different parts of the ecosystem and foster mutual learning among organizations Engage private sector partners to support entrepreneurship activities Report on output, outcome and impact level to the global program manager At least 10 years of working experience, preferably in a start up or growing enterprise Minimum 3 years of work experience in managing entrepreneurship programs/project and/or multi stakeholder initiatives (incubators, training programs, investment groups, etc.), preferably in development co-operation Sound knowledge and professional working experience in an emerging country supporting early-stage financing In-depth knowledge and experience with developing sustainable and impactful ecosystem organizations. Strong leadership skills and experience in coordinating interdisciplinary project teams Ability to facilitate and motivate a group of diverse organizations and people around a common strategy Ability to bring in innovation and creativity to further develop approaches Strong communication skills and team spirit Excellent English skills (verbal and written) and preferably one of the local languages For Peru, in addition: Excellent Spanish skills (verbal and written). Working experience in the respective country and/or region is an asset.
