A Prayer for Our Advent/Christmas Season
Journey with Christ
By Pope Francis
Jesus, in you I am never alone, even at difficult moments,
even when my life’s journey comes up against problems
and obstacles that seem insurmountable. I accompany you,
I follow you, but above all I know that you accompany me
and carry me on your shoulders. This is my joy, this is my
hope that I must bring to this world. Teach me to see with
your eyes, to live life as you lived, to understand life as
you understood it. Help me be ready for an encounter with
you, which means being able to see the signs of your presence, keeping my faith alive with prayer and the sacraments, and taking care not to forget about God.
The Grand Annual Appeal Update
From the 1096 registered families here at
St. Elizabeth, 175 families thus far have
donated $78,358 to our Grand Annual.
We are most appreciative to those families who have supported this Appeal.
Please remember whatever you give to
this Appeal stays in our parish to cover
expenses of our day to day operation. If
you did not receive a letter, you are not
registered. If you would like to become a
parishioner, please call the parish office to
register.
The Grand Annual packets are on the back table
in Fr. Curley Hall for your use.
Last week’s Christmas Collection for the Clergy
Funds was about keeping a promise we made as Catholics to care for the more than 628 active and senior diocesan priests in our Archdiocese. Thanks to your generosity, our parish kept that promise and raised funds
for our priests who served the Catholic faithful. Our
Parish contribution will have a significant impact on
the health, welfare, and retirement needs of our priests
in the New Year and beyond. If you were out of town
this Christmas, or did not have the opportunity to participate, all are welcome to make a donation online at
www.clergyfunds.org. On behalf of the priests of our
Archdiocese, thank you for your support of the Clergy
Funds.
Youth Choir practices are on Tuesdays,
from 4:30-5:30 in the Church (near the
Altar). The Youth Choir sings twice a
month at Family Mass on the first and
third Sunday, of each month at the 9:30
am Mass. Please contact the Youth Choir Director, Ms.
Martin,
for more information at [email protected].
Next Family Mass is January 4th.
Hope to see you there!
If we have a snow storm and Milton Public Schools are cancelled, please be aware
there will be no 9:00 am daily Mass. Fr.
Aidan does not want anyone traveling in
dangerous weather.
The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph — December 28, 2014
