Business Manager (2002-2007)
Oversaw all financial and business development activities for the university’s premier and most visible research institute;
specializing in increasing funding of grants, with an emphasis on synergistic collaboration with various departments and
other universities. Also worked closely with Development Office, General Counsel, Office of Research and Office of
Budgeting to adhere to university guidelines. Heavily involved in new university-wide software implementation/roll-out
and sat on various committees for financial/HR initiatives campus-wide.
Challenges: Systemize & Organize a powerful internationally-recognized research institute to have its administrative and
financial functions operate on the same level as the intellectual property being produced by its scholars and fellows.
Drove revenue from $2 million to $4 million through aggressive grant application processes that
included Federal grants, Ford Foundation, Coca-Cola Foundation and various others.
Cut expenses 12% through driven focus towards optimizing human resources, including increasing
team productivity and redefining processes within the Institute.
Acted as Institute’s liaison to President’s Office and advocate for special needs and conditions that
exist for similar Institutes within University. This resulted in an increased publicity on venues like NBC
during ND Football games that ultimately led to greater brand awareness.
Instrumental in establishing university-wide practices and policies with regard to international visitors,
students and faculty; spearheaded informational workshops on campus for them to reduce university’s

Group, Inc. was founded to supply hotel/motel owners with more dynamic tools to make more informed decisions with
regard to maximizing profits and making financial reporting palatable to non-financial stakeholders. It now serves a variety
of industries and targets small businesses and churches with revenue from $100,000 to $2,000,000.
Challenges: Compete against established accounting firms and differentiate from the rest, while providing customizable and
value-added services.
Boasts 95% Client Retention rate in last 5 years of operations and achieved and average of 20% cost
reduction within first year due to base changes and intensive negotiations.
Established and grew MichianaTax brand to increase clientele by 30% using viral marketing and word

Prepared corporate, fiduciary, individual tax returns firm wide for all Strategic Business Units nationally. Worked
collaboratively with a team of tax experts to provide streamline tax solutions for the clientele we served. Also

inventory costs at a minimum.

Executive Director/Associate Pastor (1998-2000)
Collaborated with local city pastors to organize extended prayer conferences in various cities throughout the US and
Europe, and Africa. Overcame territorial issues, competition and other obstacles to promote unity across racial,
denominational lines while facilitating teaching on prayer and other spiritual disciplines.
Achieved monumental success in promoting racial unity in Memphis, TN among two of the largest
churches in that city and resulted in a number of joint services that took place well after the conference.
Managed a national donor base of roughly 1,400 monthly contributors as well as a number of large
contributions from nationally recognized ministries who saw great value in the ministry that was provided.
Provided mission support to 6 orphanages in Ghana, Togo and other West African countries by
sending financial and human support on temporary short-term missions.
