Directors Report
2012
As I write this report, 11 Spaniards, ages 19-52 are sitting across
the hall from my office in the conference room. We are in day two of
our media training experience “Goborderless”. This is the first time
we are doing it all in Spanish! There is a sense of gratitude on my
heart for the staff, vision, and resources God continues to provide
to this ministry.
Gwen and I started this journey as directors of IMM 3 and a half years ago. The changes
have been constant, the challenges evolving and yet the encouragement from you and the
team has been consistent. God’s grace has sustained us.
PROJECTS :
Arab World Media partnership
AWM has an internet ministry reaching hundreds
of thousands in the Arabic speaking world. They
approach IMM late last year and asked if we could
co produce six video clips to place on their website to create interest and conversations online.
Thus far we have produced 5 of these clips. Each
is focused on a theme within a particular country.
The engagement rate has certainly increased.
Focus countries are Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya,
United Arab Emeritus and Morocco. The final clip
we will produce for them will be Jordan, due Oct.
1st.

Wo m e n o f t h e B i b l e :
We hope to have “Ruth” story completed soon.
Audio challenges have slowed us down. However all of the CGI (computer graphic imagery) is
completed. “Rahab” story will begin shooting in
September. Although we will not make our goal
of 3 bible stories this year, we have learned a
lot in the process of “Ruth” and hope to advance
with “Rahab” much faster. Denise and Kerry Godwin are to be commended on their dedication and
passion to this project.

Connect2012:
Connect2012 became a reality April 17-19. This media conference was about networking and growing in
effective use of communication tools for one purpose,
to see Christ proclaimed and people’s lives changed.
We had three main objectives for every participant at
Connect2012. We wanted people to leave with new
resources, form new partnerships and, leave with new
ideas of how they could better use media tools to fulfill their mission. I believe it happened!
Here are a few things people had to say about Connect2012:
“I believe Connect 2012 succeeded greatly to network
and connect ministries within and outside of Assemblies of God World Missions. You, Gwen, and the team
did an outstanding job making all the logistics work—
the transportation, hotel, and all the seminars. It was
just outstanding.” Greg Mundis, Executive Director of
Assemblies of God World Missions.
“The Connect2012 was amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing what God is doing (and will do) through IMM in the coming years. And it’ll be great to see if
there are any opportunities for us to partner together on a project in the future.”
James Meyer, Director of GemStone ministries.
“You did a great job with the conference,
and Kathleen and I enjoyed it very much.
I was so impressed with your work and
haven’t stopped thinking about how we
can raise awareness about what you’re
doing…” Phil Cooke, Author, Director, Consultant CookePictures.com
Seventeen nations were represented in the conference and 21 organizations with
more than half not having denominational ties to our mission. At the end of the
event, $55,000 was pledged to assist with “Team IMM”, a fund to help support
media missionaries from other countries training and working with IMM. If you
would like to help us, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your prayers
and support as we tell the story that changes lives and multiply the
storytellers!
GoBoderless 2012:
This was our third installment of the concept of providing for young adults to an
experience in missions and media which might sow seeds of vision and passion
to use communication technologies
to impact this generation with the
Hope of Christ.
Our GoBo 2009 had 14 students representing 4 nations(mostly Americans, in english). In GoBo 2011
we had 11 students (again, mostly
Americas). This year, with the suburb direction of our technical director, Joel Arrellanes (from Mexico)
IMM completed our first, all Spanish language GoBo with 11 students. Each year we create a project in which the
participants assist directly. This year we recorded a music video over the course
of two days which will be released on the internet and in a variety of other local
venues.

her help and she has made my job much lighter. Please pray with us (and pass
the word), that God might send us some administrative help.
Partnerships:
We continue our training partnership with Eastern European Bible College in
Oradia, Romania. We have committed to help launch a new training program at
the Warsaw Theological Seminary this year with 3 one week intensive course.
Our staffing partnership with Pioneers International missionaries Tom Khazoyan
and Matt Castagna are in development and hope to finalize that agreement very
soon. I envision these kinds of shared personnel arrangements increasing in
number and variety.
IMM is committed to assisting AGWM field missionaries as they launch projects
and use IMM content to advance their local work. We are currently assisted with
workers in AGMENA and Central Eurasia with content. We are committed to
assist however we can with the “Live|Dead” initiative. We are along providing
leadership and support to the CAN TV station launch in Malawi and to Missionary, Sharon McCammon in the development and launch of a tweeners TV program for Lithuania TV.
Conclusion:
The challenges for IMM remain with Personnel. People will drive the ministry forward! God has his people in place, we just need to remind them of the Master’s
call. Working in team is beginning to look different in a virtual environment.
IMM will need to embrace and facilitate this change. Training is in high demand
among our churches and this generation of young people. Networking Professional who are ready and willing to serve must be a priority. Focus on unreached
people groups in our content development is mission critical. As one person has
said, “we’re not running out of money, we’re running out of time.”
