I, the undersigned, agree that I have read and understand the guidelines included with the entry form
and hereby agree to abide by them. I agree that neither the Downtown Development Authority of
Swainsboro, the City of Swainsboro, nor Emanuel County, nor any agent, employee or volunteer
assumes any responsibility for any personal injury or property damage suffered in connection with the
parade. I agree to release and hold harmless such parties from any claims for injury or damage.

Lineup. Parade lineup will begin at 5:00 p.m. along US Hwy. 1/South Main Street,
south of BB&T. Entries will line up on a first-come-first-served basis. Numbers for
judging will be mailed to all participants who enter before the November 20th
deadline. These numbers are only for judging purposes and do not hold bearing on the lineup
order of the parade. There will be no check-in required at line-up. All entries must be
lined up by 5:30 p.m.; no exceptions.
Elected officials and fire/medical/law enforcement personnel will line-up in the
BB&T parking lot. All participants should reserve this lot for those participants and
begin lining up just south of BB&T.
Entries. All entries shall be decorated in the Holiday spirit. The City of Swainsboro
will present the “Arrival of Santa” at the beginning of the parade; therefore, parade
entries involving live Santas will not be permitted.
**Candy may not be tossed during the parade. Walkers may hand candy
to spectators, but no candy shall be thrown during the event.**
All interior lights in your vehicle shall remain on during the parade.
Participants. People of all ages are encouraged to participate in the 2014
Swainsboro Christmas Parade; however, all participants under the age of 13 must be
accompanied by an adult.
Parade Route. The parade will begin on South Main Street near BB&T bank and
proceed north until turning west onto Pine Street. The parade will then continue on
Pine Street until turning south onto Green Street before ending at the Boneyard.
Judging. Please ensure that your entry number is secured visibly on the driver’s side
of your vehicle. If your entry number is not visible, your entry will not be judged.
Awards will be presented on the entertainment stage at 7:00 p.m. Awards will
include cash awards in the following amounts:
1st Place - $250
2nd Place - $200
3rd Place - $150
Best Golf Cart - $100
Register. Please return entry forms no later than 4:30 p.m., Thursday, November 20,
2014.
