Students at Sweet’s Corners Elementary School in Lyndhurst and South Crosby Elementary School in Elgin will be able to enjoy the snow because of all hats, mittens and gloves that were generously donated. Caleb, Sweet's Corners Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Lansdowne held their annual Santa Claus Parade on a balmy Sunday afternoon, on November 30th. For a small town, there was a reasonable amount of entries, with a good variety of creativity. It was an afternoon, daylight parade, so that “We can have a smash up after-party with Santa and the community”, said organizer Kim George. The parade route started on Jessie Street, proceeding in a block down Garden St., Gilbert St., and uphill on County Rd. 3. Many parade watchers waited on the top of the hill, and had a great view of the procession. The theme was “Country Roots and Cowboy Boots” and even Santa on his float was sporting a broad brimmed, black cowboy hat. Children had a fun time at the after-party, where they made their Christmas wish known to Santa. There was “great atmosphere”, said George. The three parade judges came up with these final results: 613-924-2775 10 Main St., Athens Walk-ins welcome Open: Tuesday - Saturday KANE’S TOWING Repairs & Wrecking (613) 659-3332 Brockville & After Hours: 1-800-565-3012 153 Quabbin Hill Rd., RR#4 Mallorytown Derek Kane, Owner 24 hour SERVICE Season’s Greetings!
