LEARNING THROUGH THE LENS A Focus on Film Education Southampton Film Week Southampton Solent University Conference Centre Friday 7th November 2014 10am – 5pm A South East Film Education Network Event Presented by Screen South in Partnership with Artswork The film education offer across the South is coming into focus. This event will bring teachers and youth facilitators up to date with the current opportunities and some best practice through a mix of seminars and practical workshops. The day is hosted by Southampton Solent University with City Eye as part of Southampton Film Week and delivered by Screen South on behalf of Artswork1 (the South East Bridge Organisation) We will also be joined by Into Film, the new charitable organization commissioned by the BFI to deliver its 5-19yrs Education Scheme, by leading a single, unified programme for watching, making and learning about film. This event will connect you with decision makers and film industry and education practitioners to review, consult and learn from a range of case studies and explore key issues. You will learn new skills though a set of short interactive workshops. Join the conversation and discuss:    1 How are schools and young people engaging with film?
