An idea for a TV-‐commercial by Liv Scharbatke & Tobias Scherer

An idea for a TV-‐commercial by Liv Scharbatke & Tobias Scherer more than care

1970S
&
EMOTIONS
As there are two timelines at once we want to let the audience feel at home at any time by creating a good feeling through bright colours and blue accents. These accents will on the one hand be found in the set design, the
costumes, the blue engagement ring on Maria‘s finger, in
the eyes of our protagonists and of course, in the Nivea
tin that will prominently be shot at the very end of the
1970s timeframe (also with the then actual design) and as
pack shot at the end of the present years with our claim
MORE THAN CARE. The 1970s will also be characterised by
soft colours that will bring back a sense of memory to the
Sun-Protection Spots of the 1970s. A breathing camera shall be following our story as if the
audience would be experiencing the situations themself.
We want to be emotionally close to our protagonists and
we want to have lots of hand details as for us hands are
one of the finest expressions of emotions.

CAST
REAL PEOPLE IN
REAL SITUATIONS:
THAT IS OUR AIM.
The young Thea is a sweet child, angel-faced, blond hair, cute blue eyes, open look, interested in the world
and also with a hint of cheekiness. We are looking for a kid between 2-3 years that has a unconsumed face
and is not know by other commercials. The young Maria is a kind and caring mother, with loving, blue eyes and blond hair, a girl next door, yet with
a beauty that is flawless. We are considering to cast the same person for the young Maria and the old Thea.
That is why her face should be pretty but with no outstanding characteristics so that the actress could easily
be turned into mother or daughter by our make-up artist. For that we are looking for models as this is the
person the audience can identify with the most. The old Maria is a best ager: A woman with a warm and caring look who stayed a real beauty through the
years. She still takes care to look good and neat. Her eyes should be vivid and be remarkable blue. Beautiful
hands that show their age but are not worn out. A woman whose inner beauty now shows on the outside.
For Maria we are looking for an actress as she is our possibility to bring a sent of deepness by subtle acting.

BIOGRAPHY
Liv Scharbatke was born 1984 in Neustadt/Aisch.
After receiving her Master degree in Communications Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-University
Munich in 2010, she started studying Screenwriting at Filmacademy Luwigsburg. Liv is fascinated by telling emotional stories with as little
dialogue as possible and pictures that stand for
themselves. Her first film OLGASTREET 18, which
she wrote and directed with Co-Director Jörg
Rambaum, follows this idea and was awarded
on many festivals all around the world and even
nominated for the „Deutscher Kurzfilmpreis“ in
2012. Since then Liv directed several films. During this time she discovered her passion for
commercials as they are for her the essence of
emotional storytelling. Olgastraße:
