CYP (Children, Youth, and Parents)
Wednesday night program begins for the school
year on September 10, 2014.
Children will have a blast with a fun-filled hour designed just for them! While reinforcing the "Virtue of
the Month," kids will enjoy worship, Bible story
teaching, group games, take-home devotionals and
more in our child- friendly Fellowship Hall.
Youth
can expect fun times and dynamic Bible
teaching which is the foundation of the Ardmore
FUMC Youth Department. Their time together will
include games, worship, Bible teaching and the
creation of long-lasting friendships.
Parents,
bring your pen, notebook and Bible to
dive in deep with our parenting classes. These
classes are designed for all parents; older and
younger, married and single, members and nonmembers. Our goal is to provide you with some

Great Kids. Raising children who become truly
great adults may be the goal of a parent, but there
are factors and forces that make it difficult. Come
learn that parents who commit to developing their
relationship with their kids according to the power of
God's grace automatically bring the best out of

We are learning about the Virtue of the Month, Responsibility
Showing you can be trusted with what’s expected of you.

*Children’s Church is offered twice each Sunday morning, once
for each worship service. So, whether your family chooses to
come to the 9:00 am traditional service or the 11:05 am EPIC service, kids can enjoy an hour of learning and worship designed just
for Kindergarten through 3rd grade children.
SPARK (Singing Praises and Acting Rewards Kids) This program
for 1st through 5th graders begins on Wednesday, September
10th from 4:30-5:30 in the CMC room 116. The S.P.A.R.K. program will prepare for a Christmas and spring musical, learn how to
play various instruments, explore all different styles of worship
music and perform once a month for our church services. If you

Acolyte Training September 7, 4:00-5:00 pm (for kids entering
3rd through 5th grade) Colvert Ministry Center, Room 133
Kindergarten Promotion Sunday On Sunday, September 7, please
check your kindergarten children in at Fellowship Hall at 10:00a.m.
where they will attend the kindergarten and first grade Sunday
school class. Children’s Church is not held on the first Sunday of
each month to enable families to take Communion together during
the regular worship services.

Human Trafficking Awareness Event
September 9th 6:30-8:00pm  Colvert Ministry Center
Presenter, Agent Mike Snowden from the Oklahoma Bureau
of Narcotics Human Trafficking Unit will highlight facts in
which everyone should be aware. Human trafficking is happening everywhere, even here in Ardmore and other parts of
Oklahoma. We must be educated in order to fight this.
Please join us for this informative event.
The average age of victims trafficked into prostitution is
between 12 and 14 years.
Every year 300,000 U.S. teens become victims of sex
trafficking.
Four out of five victims are female.
The average life expectancy of these victims is 7
years. Homicide and AIDS are the number one killers of
those being trafficked.
