Violin Concert at Brethren Village Ben Detrick, violinist from Vienna, Austria will appear in concert on Sunday afternoon, August 17 at 3:00 pm in the Wolfe Auditorium at Brethren Village. Mr. Detrick will play some classical, folk songs and hymns. Ben, the grandson of Betty Bomberger and the late Harold Bomberger, has given concerts in China, Europe and the US. and currently studies in Vienna. An offering for cost sharing will be received. The public is invited to attend. The church nursery (which is available for children up to age 4) is located back the main hallway, past the restrooms, on the left. Please feel free to entrust your children to us for this hour. Young Adults Are you a recent High School graduate who wants to grow in your faith? Originally from Indian Creek Church of the Brethren (in Harleysville), Carol moved to the area and has been attending East Fairview for almost a year. With prior administrative and secretarial experience, Carol is already in the process of acclimating to her new responsibilities. We welcome Carol with excitement and a desire to support her as she enters this new area of ministry! We would like to again thank Jen Statler for serving as our Church Secretary/Office Manager for the past several weeks and wish her well as she joins Excentia’s S. June Smith Center, pursing her passion to minister to children. Effective immediately, the Church Office hours are 9am – 1pm, Monday through Friday MC Food Pantry The items most needed this month include: *Canned Pasta Meals, especially lasagna *Hamburger/Tuna Helper *Peanut Butter *Cereal *Canned Fruit Nigerian Church Update Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren is hosting a meeting on August 17th at 3:00pm, with Beatrice Dangombe. Beatrice is the daughter of Musa and Sarah Mumbula, leaders in EYN (Church of the Brethren in Nigeria), who will provide an update on the current situation of Christians in Nigeria that have been experiencing violence.
