Email:[email protected] Mobile:+86-13818868519, http://www.chzfg.com Dr. Jian-Gao Fan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 1994 at the Shandong Medical University, and his Ph.D. in 1997 at the Shanghai Second Medical University, respectively, both in China. He was a Gastroenterologist and then also Associate Professor at Shanghai 1st People’s Hospital from 1997 to 2007. He was a Visiting Scholar of Australian National University Medical School (Canberra, Australia) from 2007 to 2008, and Visiting Professor of Cleveland Clinic Institution of Digestive Disease (Cleveland, USA) in May 2010. He was once a co-chairman of the 2010 & 2012 Shanghai International Forum on Digestive Diseases, and invited speaker in over 10 countries. His activities include clinical care, research and teaching of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His main research interests are in the fields of metabolic syndrome and chronic liver diseases. Currently, he is Professor of Medicine and Director of Department of Gastroenterology at Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is a president for Shanghai Medical Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and chief of The China National Study Group on Fatty Liver and Alcoholic Liver Disease. He is a member of the editorial board of more than 20 journals, i.e., J Gastroenterol. Hepatol, Alcohol, J Dig Dis, World J Hepatol, and also lots major journals’ peer-reviewer, i.e., Hepatol, Arch Intern Med, Diabetes Care, Nutrition, J Hepatol. He has published over 400 peer-reviewed manuscripts (including 70 articles in SCI journals and 5 chapters in English), and 15 books as editor-in-chief, i.e, 1st & 2nd Edition, Fatty Liver Disease in China People’s Medical Publishing House. 2014-7-20
