Presidents News March 2014!
Welcome everyone to our March rally - its only been 2 weeks since we
have all seen each other - how lucky!! It was a great call on behalf of the
Executive Committee to re-schedule our February rally as the night
before it was declared a day of total fire ban and would have been
cancelled anyway.
With such a great club wanting to come together we didn't miss out and
were lucky to see each other in two weeks time with the weather a little
kinder to our horses and riders!!
Some important news include our Annual General Meeting - this is an
important date to put in the diary and will be conducted on Friday 4th
April - 7.30pm.
As a decision from our committee it is quite hard to run an
AGM at lunchtime at the April rally - so in a more relaxed environment
we as parents can join together and navigate through the year ahead.
The AGM is a compulsory meeting and as a member of Monbulk Pony
Club we would like to see at least one adult member from each family.
As parents of our children that belong to our club its a positive way to
become involved and make changes to our club that will benefit
everyone in the future. We all have something special - whether it be in
a practical or administrative talent - we can all help this club to grow
even stronger and have fun being involved - no matter how large a role
or small - its all important and can make a huge difference.
So - we need you as much as you rely on the club to provide the best
possible experiences for your child which include the grounds, clinics,
instructors, mentors, safety, competitions, equipment, canteen just to
name a few! Lets join together and make 2014 a great year!!
Happy and safe riding!
Michelle - President!
DC'S NEWSLETTER MARCH 2014
Hi Everyone,
We had a fantastic start to year (finally), I hope you all enjoyed the rally. The soccer ball was a huge
success and it seems everyone had a bit of fun. Right up until it got a hole in it!
But thanks to Susanne, we have another inner; sunburst and peppermint gve will have another go.
Your skills will really improve over time and soon we will be having a fair dinkum soccer match. We
already have our referee thanks to Grace's dad.
It was lovely to welcome Emily, Alexandra and Jacqueline to the rally last week, I am thrilled they
will be joining our club and I know everyone will make them feel at home.
Good luck this week to our 3 SMZ representatives at the Show jumping and Dressage State
Championships. Erica & Daisy, Janis & Merlin and Brittany & Ben. Have a great weekend
girls.
This rally I would like to welcome back Danielle, Jacqueline and of course Yolanda who we did not
see last week. The girls are so keen to extend your knowledge of horses and along the way I know
you will have plenty of fun.
We had plenty of interest in all our flat teams and games teams. I suggest we get together
around lunch time and try to organise some practice times. Again, everyone is welcome to try
out.
Have a look at the PDF file named “flat ride schedule” on our web site. If you are interested in the flat
team and are able to print this out and start to learn before rally it will give us a head start.
All members please check your duties. If you cannot make it please let Susanne know asap or
swap with someone else. If any families are on Set-up can you please make sure you are
available from around 9.00am, we always have a Showjumping course to make and usually
bunting etc. to put up before rally gets on the way. Any extra hands is always appreciated.

Check your horse has the correct grade for every discipline required.
Check you have the correct amount of rallies attended accounted for, especially if you have a new
