The
Glastonbury
Yacht
Club
is
incorporated as a non-stock company. The
company is owned by its members. The
ownership details are contained in the
Connecticut State incorporation papers and
the club’s by-laws. Each Glastonbury Yacht
Club member posts a “bond” that provides
working capital for the club. The “bond” is
refunded in accordance with the club’s bylaws
when the member resigns.

Boating Services









Boat slips, assigned seasonally by the
Dockmaster subject to availability, boat
size and the club’s bylaws.
A launch ramp is available for member use
Glastonbury Yacht Club has a maximum of
34 slips. One slip per family membership.
The maximum overall length of a boat is
limited to 35 feet.
220 & 120 volt power are available from
stations along the length of the dock
Cold water is available along the length of
the dock
Platform at end of dock is available for
fishing, sunbathing and “sitting” to enjoy
the Connecticut River scene
Mooring locations or ramp privileges are
available as alternatives to a boat slip
Winter storage of boats is available

The club has dues for a family
membership and fees for application, seasonal
boat slip, power, storage, mooring location or
launch privileges. The schedule of fees is
approved annually by the club members.

The Glastonbury Yacht Club is a “working
club”. Each member participates in the tasks
of maintaining the docks, buildings and
grounds and is encouraged to participate in
the social activities of the club.
All members participate in the “Docks in”
and “Docks out” effort at the beginning and
end of boating season.

Ten picnic tables provide seating for 80 to
100 persons
o Available for member functions
Gas grills are located at end of pavilion for
use of members
Fireplace, large charcoal grills and
propane burners are available for group
events
Pavilion and clubhouse are available for
members private parties




Kitchen facilities with refrigerator, stove,
oven and microwave
Toilet & shower facilities
20’ x 30’ social area & meeting room
o Available for member functions
The clubhouse is accessible with a
handicap ramp
Club-wide Social Activities
Club social activities are scheduled from June
through October. Invitations from area yacht
clubs occur throughout the year.
