Our expertise extends into the area of curriculum, teacher training, educational resources, and technical support. Nearly 22,000 students have graduated from IEM schools since 1993. During that time IEM has been instrumental in the opening and managing of eight California Charter Schools and has provided consulting services to interested parent groups, school districts, and educators across the country. IEM currently manages three California Charter Schools, which include Sky Mountain Charter School (SMCS), South Sutter Charter School (SSCS), and Ocean Grove Charter School (OGCS). POSITION SUMMARY: Incumbent is responsible for reviewing “Stop POs” for the educational products and services offered through IEM schools. The incumbent evaluates prospective vendors and approves or denies vendor requests. The incumbent will collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and Guidance, and the Curriculum Coordinators for IEM schools. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Review and approve/deny all Stop Done POs; 2. Communicate with ESs and Advisors regarding the reason for all denied PO items; 3. Maintain ongoing list of disallowed publishers and vendors; 4. Maintains the ES Vendor Info page; 5. Educationally approve/deny prospective vendors by checking websites, calling or emailing prospective vendors to review services/products, and writing vendor descriptions in FRED; 6. Maintain ongoing shared document indicating newly added vendors, vendor name changes; 7. Review vendor list to double check for compliance and accuracy, following procedure to remove inappropriate vendors who had been previously approved; 8. Offer trainings to ESs on an as-needed basis, including at the All ES meetings when necessary; 9. Contribute to school newsletter, showcasing educational, standards-based vendors; 10. May perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position. SUPERVISOR DUTIES: None MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience § Must have a current California teaching credential. § Two (2) years related experience.
