We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to aid in upcoming projects. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the incumbent will review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and ensure programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent accidents, disease or injury caused by physical or environmental factors are in place. The incumbent will conduct site inspections, assist management, and ensure adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals. The incumbent supports the project leadership team to ensure incident and accident prevention, investigation and analysis, conducting audit compliance to work standards. Responsibilities: - Responsible for overseeing the health, safety, performance of the company. - Ensures site compliance and training to required procedures; documents all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions. - Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. - Provide new-employee health and safety orientations, and develop materials for these presentations. - Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. - Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety strategies, policy, and programs that promote sustainable development. - Perform health & safety audits and assessments. - Ensure all members of the workforce recognise and understand their own contributions to improved performance.
