What's IMA? IMA, the Institute of Management Accountants, is an international association of accounting and finance
professionals. The IMA's Central California Chapter meets the second Thursday of every month in Modesto.
What's Student Night? Student Night is IMA's annual dinner meeting with local professionals and student guests from
Columbia College, Merced Junior College, Modesto Junior College, Humphreys College, UC Merced and CSU,
Stanislaus. It's the biggest and most entertaining IMA meeting of the year.
What's the purpose of Student Night? Student Night encourages students to complete their education and enter the
accounting and finance occupations. It's often their first professional event. It's your first time to meet them and a
valuable chance for them to network and meet future colleagues. Student Night changes lives.
How does Student Night work? Students meet IMA members, other professionals, and students from other schools for
conversation before and during dinner. Using a seating list, each table has a mix of students and professionals so each
student is sure to meet several professionals during the event.
In addition to dinner, what happens at Student Night? A panel of successful graduates talk about that important first job.
The audience participates with questions and comments. Finally there is big door prize drawing for the students which is
always a lot of fun.
How is Student Night supported? The only cost is the cost of each dinner ($30.00). Individuals and firms donate funds for
dinner and/or attend.

What can I do for Student Night? There are several ways to participate:
1- Donate a "sponsorship" - $30.00 for a student's dinner,
and -- or
2- Reserve your own dinner and meet the students - $30.00
and -- or,
3- Donate a logo item from your company for the drawing
