Tsunami Evacuation Drill
Tsunami evacuation drill will be held on
Schedule of Evacuation drill
March 9 (Sun). It starts from 9:00a.m.
The purpose of this evacuation drill is
check where you will evacuate in the case
of a massive earthquake and a tsunami. It
is very important for you to participate
this practice with your family, to get to
know your neighbors and have the
neighbors know you as well.

To enriched child care support, child medical care copayment for both elementary school and junior high school students
will be free from April 1. New child medical care certificate will be sent in later March to guardians whose children
attend in elementary school or junior high school on coming April.
Residence tax will be increase due to disaster prevention
From coming April, basic amount of residence
tax will be increase. It is used for disaster
prevention and minimizing damage of disaster.
Both municipal tax and prefectural tax is raised
500 yen. Therefore, in total 1,000 yen is
increased. Thank you for your understanding
and corporation for disaster prevention.

YAIZU CITY HALL’S SPECIAL OPENING DAY
Yaizu city hall will open Saturday and Sunday, since many residents move in and move out at the end /beginning of fiscal year.
Section regarding registration, national health insurance (kokumin kenko hoken), national pension (kokumin nenkin),
municipal taxes, and tax payment are available.
Opening hours: 8:30am to 5pm
Yaizu City Hall : March 23 (Sun), 29 (Sat), 30 (Sun), and April 5 (Sat). Oigawa Branch: March 29 (Sat), and April 5 (Sat)
*On these days, interpreters are not available. Please come with someone who understands Japanese.

Light Vehicle Tax (Keijidosha Zei)
The light vehicle tax will be exposed to a person who own light vehicle on April 1. If you sold,
gave or were stolen your light vehicle, have you reported? If you haven’t reported, you will be
exposed the light vehicle tax. If so please do it by end of March. If you have any question, please
