Institute of Refrigeration Ireland www.instituteofrefrigerationireland.ie Institute of Refrigeration Ireland Information Initiative 2014: Focus on Cold Stores and Cold Rooms Following the success of the 2013 Refrigerants Information Initiative, The Institute of Refrigeration Ireland is pleased to announce the 2014 Information Initiative, when the focus will be on Cold Rooms and Insulated Envelopes. The aim of the Institute in this Initiative is to inform our members and those in related industries in Ireland of Best Practice for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of insulated envelopes, and how to reduce energy consumption. One evening seminar will be presented each month for the five months from January to May 2014. Each seminar will have one or two speakers who are active specialists in the industry and who will be presenting in their particular area of expertise. Insulated Envelopes include Chill Rooms Fruit ripening rooms Food production halls Cold Stores Data Storage facilities High-Care environments Freezers Refrigerated Distribution Depots Controlled Atmosphere rooms The series will be of interest to Owners, operators and end-users of cold rooms and cold store facilities Refrigeration contractors, service engineers and maintenance personnel Cold room suppliers and erectors Mechanical and building services consultants Architects, civil engineers and structural engineers, Facility managers and energy managers Attendance at the seminars is free of charge to all, members and non-members. Objective and Informative: The initiative is intended to provide a comprehensive introduction to and overview of refrigerated insulated envelopes. The series has been carefully planned to cover the design, construction, operation and maintenance of cold rooms including opportunities for energy reduction. Attendees who attend all five seminars will receive an IRI Certificate of Attendance for the initiative, as well as a flash drive with copies of the presentations and relevant technical reference literature. Attendance at any seminar qualifies for CPD with the Institute of Refrigeration Ireland. Venue and times: Each seminar takes place at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin (just off Junction 7, M50) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments are available from 6:00 p.m. Attendance at the seminars is free. Free Parking is available. Those planning to attend should check with the Institute website to confirm details and for notification of any last minute changes. www.instituteofrefrigerationireland.ie See detailed programme overleaf.
