----------------------------------------- Impending labelling for commercial and-------------professional refrigeration Energy labels are already existing They prompt the consumers to choose a product This is a motivation for manufacturers to develop and market energy efficient equipment It offers comparison of specifications related to energy efficiency and environment compatibility They are existing for household appliances, office equipment, buildings… There are EU-label, Energy+ label, Blue Angel Label… Energy Labelling is ongoing for Commercial Refrigeration Professional Refrigeration and This labelling is needed to : Cut down energy consumption Contribute to the achievement of the Europe 2020 environmental objectives (Kyoto Protocol, 1997 extended until 2020) : avoid exceeding +2°C Limit greenhouse effect compared to global temperature average of the pre-industrial era. Face global warming / climate change What will involve this labelling ? Labelling documents have been drafted by the European Commission thanks to preparatory studies and consultation with the HVACR (Heat Ventilating Air-Conditionning and Refrigeration) industry. Products that do not comply with minimum standards will no longer be allowed to be sold in Europe. There will be a classification based on the EEI (Energy Efficiency Index). What is EEI ? Magnetic Cooling, a way to decrease energy consumption ! • European regulations are becoming more stringent about ecology. • Environmental protection is now a major issue in European Union. Magnetic Cooling… • Providing a greener image and energy efficiency for end users : E = m . Cp . ΔT Magnetic Refrigeration, getting energy from temperature changes in a material Magnetic Refrigeration System (MR.S), by Cooltech Applications • Providing differentiation needed for O.E.Ms (Original Equipment Manufacturers) : Reduced Carbon Emissions High Energy Efficiency Reduced Costs Safer Systems Noise / Vibrations Reduction
