Please be sure to wish the following client’s Happy Birthday:
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating
fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in
society. Many countries celebrate Father’s Day on the third
Sunday of June. Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers
inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement
Mother’s Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting.
Credit for what we now recognize as Father’s Day goes to
Sonora Smart Dodd, who invented her own celebration of
Father’s Day in 1910. Father’s Day first celebration was in
Spokane WA on June 19, 1910. Sonora’s father was a Civil War
veteran and a single parent who raised six children. HAPPY
FATHER’S DAY, June 15th!

CONGRATULATIONS Artilene Wilson is the June Employee of
the Month. Artilene began her career at Hands of Heartland in
January 2011 as a Direct Support Professional working with a
client who lives with her family. Her Program Supervisor, Elisha
Heneger said, “Artilene has shown that she can be a great
leader and follow direction without confrontation, she takes
constructive criticism very well. Artilene has stepped up at the
home she works at to show that she is very knowledgeable
about her client. She turns in her paperwork and responds to
her supervisor within a great response time. I have a
comfortable confidence in allowing Artilene to work without
having to be supervised at all times, she has proven that she
can be trusted.” Thank you for your dedication and hard work!
