HOH NEWSLETTER Volume 4 Issue 6 June 2014 Happy Birthday to You…… Please be sure to wish the following client’s Happy Birthday: HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society. Many countries celebrate Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June. Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother’s Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. Credit for what we now recognize as Father’s Day goes to Sonora Smart Dodd, who invented her own celebration of Father’s Day in 1910. Father’s Day first celebration was in Spokane WA on June 19, 1910. Sonora’s father was a Civil War veteran and a single parent who raised six children. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, June 15th!
