Summery
Day 1 ( Book Exhibition)
Book Exhibition (14/10/2014) Time: 10:00 AM, HJD INSTITUTE,
KERA. Since 1968, 14–20 November has been celebrated as
National
Library Week all over India and various programs are organized
to let the public know about the libraries. This year Library and
Information Center going to celebrate “National Library Week”.
1. Inauguration:

Day 1 started with inauguration of library week from ribbon cutting by
Chairman Shree JAGDISH HALAI.


Rajesh patel , Administrator Hiren Vyas,Librarian Dr.Mahesh soalnki,
kunalsinh kathia

2. BOOK Exhibition:

Book exhibition was organized with various book sections science,
fiction, novel, Journals, Technical books etc.

Faculties were attained exhibition.

Received wide response from exhibition visitors.
 Feedback was registered from Chairman Mr. Jagdish Halai and principal
Dr.Rajesh Patel in register.

Library committee members managed whole event very well by
arranging event fluently.

Students visited exhibition and positively gave response to efforts.

As a moment capture “Photograph with whole team” was covered.

At the end of exhibition student gave feedbacks in manner of positive and
wished for success of exhibition.
Day 2 ( Website Review)
Website Review (15/11/2014) Time: 10:15 AM, HJD INSTITUTE, KERA. Website
review event is intended to make share of knowledge of
Different websites by explaining its features and details with
usefulness among visitors and participants.
1. Introduction of event:

On the 2nd day of National Library week the arrangement for website review
was done with projector and laptop with sitting of visitors.

An introduction about rules of event was given.

2. Event:

Event started with introduction of competition and rules & Regulations of event.

Event was judged by Mr. Kunalsinh kathia & Dr. Mahesh Solanki.

Participants were evaluated by different factors.

Faculty also took active part in it (Milap Gohil (Mechanical), Kosha Zala
(Humanities), (Kunjan Bhanderi) Electrical.

Session was recorded for uploading purpose.

3. Results:

Certificates will be provided on 20th Nov in closing ceremony to
participants.

Jaydeep tretiya student of mechanical engineering 7th sem has scored
most among all competitors.

At the end of event thanks speech given by Mr. Kunalsinh Kathia with best
wishes to all.
Day3 (GPSC,UPSC Seminar )
Seminar on Competitive exams (GPSC & UPSC) conducted by Dr. B.M Rajput for
awareness of competitive exam. Faculties and students has attainded seminar. Hon.
Chairman sir was present in the seminar to make us feel proud.
1. Floral welcome:

Event was started by anchoring of Mrs. Kanchan Bhanshali (Humanities).

Floral welcome was done by Dr. Mahesh solanki to the Dr. B.M Rajput sir , Mr. Kunalsinh
Kathia (Mechanical Engineering Depattment) to the Hon. Jagdish Halai sir and Ms. Kosha zala
Humanities) to the Mr. Pritesh mankad sir.
Intoduction of Dr. B. M Rajput was given by Dr. Mahesh solanki, with there carrier highlights.

2. Seminar started:
•
Seminar was started by B.M Rajput sir in which he explained importance of focus and positive
attitude.

He explained the methods of GPSC examination and its exam pattern.

At last of seminar question and answer were conducted and students with faculties.
1. Momento and Thanking words :

Momento was presented by Mr. Pritesh manked to Dr. B.M Rajput.
Thanks giving speech was given by Mr. Kunalsinh Kathia (Mechanical Engineering).

Day 4 ( Essay Writing competition )
Essay writing competition which held on 18 November 2014 from 10:15 am to 11:00
am. There were three topics to write essay on it with minimum 3000 words on it. The
following topics were for essay competition:
1. Reading
2. Importance of college library
3. Our Nationality
1. Rules introduction:
• Event was started by announcing the rules and regulations for Essay writing
Competition.

• Event started at 10:15 am with presence of all participents.
Event:
• Event was organized in Library reading hall.
• Faculties also taken active part in Essay writing event.
• Students wrote essay in Gujarati and English language.

• At last of event the announcement was done to declere results on closing
ceremony day in presence of Hon. Chairman jagdish Halai sir and Respected
principal sir Dr. R.M Patel
Day 5 (Book review competition)
Book review competition held on 19/11/2014 from 10:15 am to 11:30 am. This event
was intend to share knowledge about own read books which can be reffered to others for
spraid of knowledge. Event was judged on the base of the Detail, explaination power,
conclusion etc.
1. Rules introduction:
• Event was started by introduction and welcome by Mr. Kunalsinh kathia.
• Announcement of the rules and regulations was done by Dr. Mahesh solanki
for Book review competition.
• Event started at 10:15 am with presence of all participents.
2. Event:
• Competition was judged by Dr. Mahesh Solanki (Librarian) &
Ms. Kosha zala (Humanities)

• Faculties and students took equal participance in it and they were evaluated
by point marking system.
• Announcement was done for decleration of top winners will be on 20th Nov 2014.
• Response from students and faculties was great.

Day 6 (Closing ceremony)
Closing ceremony was held to distribute certificates for winners and participents of all
events conducted between 14th to 20th September 2014.
1. Welcome speech:
• Ceremony was started at 10:30 am in presence of Hon. Chairman sir and vice
principal sir Pritesh mankad sir.
• Faculties and students has attained the ceremony.
• Anchoring was done of event by Ms. Kosha Zala (Humanities)

• In start of ceremony Ms kosha zala announced the importance of library week
and invited
 Dr. Mahesh solanki to give short speech on all events which were held during
this week.

• Thereafter a short inspirational speech was given by Mr. Pritesh mankad sir.
2. Prize distribution:
• After welcome speech, the certificates distribution started .
• Certificate and Prize were distributed to winners of all events and participents.

• After certificate distribution a thanks giving speech was given by Mr.
Kunalsinh Kathia, in which he said thanks to all behind this event and
especially thanked to Hon. Chairman sir and Principal sir for support
and motivation for celebrating this week.
• At last with celebrating Library week successfully all leaved the
session.
