Moved: Chris Kloester Seconded: Elanor Kloester CARRIED without dissent Agenda Item 3: Trivia Night Trivia night at inu bar, in which 5 dollars door charge goes towards the bush fire appeal. The Activities Department received free tickets to Chil city music festival, which goes to the winners. One ticket was left over, and we decided to give it to our helper that has put many hours into filming our youtube videos. Motion 4 : That the expenditure for the UMSU Activities Trivia Night be approved from the Trivia night 1 budget line (03 60 600 3839) to the amount of 600 dollars to be received by INU bar Moved: David Liubinas Seconded: Chris Kloester CARRIED without dissent. Motion 5: 5 That 1 Chill City ticket be given to Cal Murtagh as thanks for his hard efforts and continuing work throughout the year. Agenda Item 4: Cocktail night Cocktail night is at Rust bar on Brunswick street, in which we aimed to have a cheap event with a touch of class. We organised with Rust bar that they would get $20 a head, which goes towards 3 free cocktails. The Activities department then plans to keep the extra $5 or $8 dollars per ticket, depending on whether they are union members or not. This will help pay for the event advertising and to run future events. Motion 6: That the cocktail party ticket price be set at $25 for Union Members and $30 for non-union members. Motion 7: That the expenditure for promotions and tickets come from the cocktail party budget line up to the amount of $200 (03 60 600 3233) to be spent on printing fliers 400 fliers from the student union computing centre. Motion 8: That Rust Bar be paid up to $2000 dollars (i.e $20 dollars per cocktail party ticket sold, with a limit of 100 tickets) taken out of the events line (03 60 600 3233) To pay for the cocktail party event.
