• Doing Nothing means it is acceptable

• Give strong confident decisions
• Bear in mind natural reactions , but do not ignore it
• Caution
– Persistent dissent
– Aggressive dissent
• If abusive language is used then this becomes a
sending off offence

• Not just swear words
• Bear in mind natural reactions , but do not ignore it
• Stronger action when players are insulting / abusive to
each other
• Definite dismissal for
– Abusive language towards a referee / assistant
– Racial abuse towards anyone
• Remember you cannot caution for foul language
