Eucharistic Ministers are needed to conduct Communion
service at Baywind Village Nursing Home on Sundays.

spiritual renewal and the making of many
friends. The goals of the retreat are to allow
an opportunity for each person to focus on
their faith and its application during their daily
lives, to build purpose in their prayer life, to
increase their presence at the liturgy, and to
cultivate friendships among members of our

Altar Server Refresher/Training
We will have Altar Server Refresher and Training on Saturday, August 23, 2014,
from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the church. All young people in 2nd grade and
above who have made their First Holy Communion are eligible to become altar
servers. We have a great need for servers at every Mass. All currently trained
altar servers are encouraged to attend as a refresher. We hope you will consider

A Note from Sandy Dunn
Registrations for Faith Formation classes are coming up – after all the Masses on August 9 & 10 and
August 23 & 24 in Cargill Hall. Classes begin on Sunday, September 28 or Wednesday,
October 1.
We need lots of volunteers in order to make this all worthwhile for the children of our parish. Please
consider helping us pass the faith of our Roman Catholic Church on to the children.

THROUGH THE MASS—will be offered on
Tuesday mornings and Tuesday evenings (in

Morning sessions follow the 8:30 a.m. morning
Mass from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Evening
Elementary and Adult Faith Formation
All volunteers are required to attend a Virtus session in order to work with children. Those who
have been certified by Virtus are required to attend a refresher session after 5 years. We will have a
Virtus session on Saturday, September 13, and there are also many sessions at other parishes in our
area. Please mark your calendars for these dates.
