It is bordered by China in the north and India in the south, east and west. Kathmandu is Nepal’s capital. The world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest, lies in Nepal. Lumbini ,the holy place ,where the Lord Buddha was born also lies in Nepal. Nepal is rich in natural beauty and culture. Almost 81.3% are Hindu, 9% Islam, 3.1% Kirat and1.4% Christian . JICA is providing assistance to construct roads, hydropower plants, water facilities and other infrastructure. Nepal is famous for trekking, rafting and many more activities. Many Japanese tourists visit Nepal every year. Pokhara is very famous among tourists since many mountains, lakes and rivers lie over there and it is a base camp for Mt.
