Invitation for Bids for Construction of Corporate Office Building ofLife Insurance Corporation (UC)
Nepal at Babarmahal, Kathmandu, Nepal
Date of publication: 28 January, 2015
1. Life Insurance Corporation (UC) Nepal, Kamaladi, Kathmandu invites sealed bids from all registered
"A' class contractors for the Construction of Corporate Office Building of Life Insurance
Corporation (LlC) Nepal at Babarmahal, Kathmandu, Nepal.
2. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal
Kamalad;, Kathmandu, Nepal
3. Acomplete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the above office on or before 16:00 hours
on 02 March, 2015 by eligible Bidders on the submission of awritten application, along with the copy of
company/firm registration certificate, and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs. 10,000
(ten thousand only) .
4. Bidders are advised to visit site and assess the actual site conditions before submitting their bid.
5. Apre bid meeting will take place althe following date, time and place:

6. Technical and Financial Documents must be sealed separately. The sealed Bids must be submitted to the
office of
Life Insurance Corporation (UC) Nepal
Kamaladi, Kathmandu, Nepal
on or before 12: 00hours on 03 March, 2015. Bids received after this deadline will be rejected.
7. Bids must be valid for aperiod of 120 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by abid security
amounting to aminimum of 2.5% ofthe quoted BidAmount (Inclusive of VA T) in favour of L1C Nepal,
which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the validity period ofthe bid.
8. The Technical Documents will be evaluated first. The Financial Proposals of the technically qualified
Bidders only will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend. Notice
about date, time and place of opening of Financial Proposals will be sent to those technically qualified
Bidders.
9. If the last date of purchasing, submission and opening falls on agovernment holiday, it shall be extended
to the next working day.
10. BiddersAnnual Turnoverand Experience requirement are:
10.1 Average Annual Turnover ofthe best 3years over the lastS years is: NRs. 250 million

11. L1C Nepal reserves the right to accept or reject, Wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning
