Leading lights shone brightly to 218p for clean, 196p for bulls, 190p for sucklers and 138p for dairy. The overall market returned at 99p and considering the entry a very pleasing result. 365 Dairies - Much more of a mixed sample this week with a large proportion of worked and New Zealand bred types but as always we do not just sell the best and raffle the rest a solid trade prevailed for all spec of cattle throughout the night. Meated cattle certainly commanded a premium and sold to 138p (£836.28) for a young black and white from distant travellers The Smith Family, Sharnford. Other names and prices to note :- Messrs M.P. Trade remaining extremely brisk especially for well fleshed and handy weight cattle with plain, light and older types a little harder to place but certainly no disaster and demand throughout. My crystal ball would say we will certainly need cattle next week and if you are in any doubt I am only a phone call away or my trusty right hand Adele (now she has recovered from the works swaray!). Top of the tree heifers to 265p, steers to 228p and bulls to 224p. 103 Bulls - Certainly not the show of last week with all those superstars it was the turn of Drayton Specials with Black and Whites out in force and some real corkers to grace the ring.
