Reporting to the Associate Director, CPD, the Manager, Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program is
responsible to lead the implementation and provide oversight for current and new policies, processes and
business requirements for the MOC Program and support the transition to a competency-based model for
CPD. The Manager will provide oversight and leadership for MAINPORT ePortfolio production support. The
Manager will also provide leadership for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and
enhance operational effectiveness of activities within the CPD unit relevant to the MOC Program including:
implementation and assessment of MOC Program education support strategies including workshops and
pilot projects; design and implementation of reporting strategies to national and provincial stakeholder
organizations; the development of MOC Program mobile strategies; and the sustaining and enhancement
of the Regional Education Support program (CPD Educators).
As the successful candidate, you will manage the staff within the MOC Program section of the CPD Unit in
a manner that promotes a healthy and effective working environment and proactive planning and
integration of their strengths to improve strategy and outcomes. You will deliver annual performance
evaluations on staff and prepare work plans setting out activities, milestones, resource requirements and
timelines for the accomplishment of goals, objectives and tasks.
You come to us with:
• Bachelor degree is required. Master level education is preferred with knowledge in adult
education, lifelong learning, project management, information management, and strategic
planning.
• Requires 5-7 years of management experience.
• Requires demonstrated knowledge in managing staff and managing a complex service
delivery unit.
• Ability to design, develop and implement various projects or evaluation initiatives.
• Ability to develop and evaluate a variety of communications strategies to enhance the
understanding of Fellows related to continuing professional development.
• Ability to plan, manage and implement projects and programs.
• Experience with the analysis, evaluation and development of policies.
• Bilingualism English/French is a strong asset.
