pharmacies but carry out targeted inspections – mainly crime
prevention inspection, safe custody checks, destructions of out of date
stock, and tasking from the CDAO Sussex and Surrey. They also have a
broader remit and can inspect any premise, used in connection with
the provision of healthcare, involving the storage, production or supply

The AGM business followed with 11 people in attendance. Craig

advanced services and to the community pharmacy contractual
framework (CPCF) for the 2014/15 financial year. The New Medicine
Service (NMS) will be continued, with funding from the overall
settlement. There are some changes to targeted medicines use reviews
(MURs) with the introduction of a new target group and a move for
contractors to provide 70% of their MURs to patients within the target
groups. Contractors will also be required to include pharmacy names in
reports of patient safety incidents, to give patients appropriate advice
about the benefits of the repeat dispensing service, and to take part in
a national audit on the emergency supply of medicines by pharmacies
next year.
To help contractors understand the settlement and changes, a number
of PSNC Briefings have been created. They can be accessed at
psnc.org.uk/briefings.
