APPLICATION FOR RENTING CHURCH
FACILITIES & POLICY
The following regulations apply to both church members and non-members who use the
Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church facilities:
1. Properties of the Sacramento Hmong alliance Church include three main buildings: the
sanctuary Building, the Christian Education Building, and the Multipurpose Building. All
buildings and rooms are used primarily for worship services, Sunday school class, vacation
bible school, and other church related activities - meetings, small group bible study,
leadership training, prayer, music and drama rehearsals, and fellowship.
2. Member of the church may use any rooms and buildings for reasons indicated above,
without approval from the Executive Committee provided that the event does not come in
conflict with any prior arrangements and scheduled activities.
3. Both members and non-members may use these facilities for unrelated church activities
with the approval of the Church Governing Board. Unrelated church activities include:
Parties for celebrations of a new born child, celebration of an elder name for a father,
graduations, conferences, meetings, New Year’s feast, wedding ceremonies, and others.
Application must be submitted, approved by the Executive Committee and fees paid by the
applicant prior to the use of the facilities. (Rooj sablaj lub 9 hlis hnubtim 11, xyoo 1994, tso

4. The following events, activities, and items will not be allowed in order to protect the
sanctity of this church and our Christian faith:
a. Fund-raising or tickets sales at the door except for Church Ministry purposes, and it
must be approved by the Executive committee.
b. Dance parties, dance performances, dancing, and dance related games and
activities, sexually suggestive activities and performances, and inappropriate
under-age activities.
c. Non-Christian teachings, ceremonies, and performances that contradicts with the

d. Any event where attendance exceeds the building code allowed by fire Marshall.
e. Funerals and/or funeral services
f. No displaying of sexual activities, drugs, abusive and/or foul language(s), and illegal
activities, including but not limited to the use of words, pictures, songs, singing,
music, motion, performances, and etc…
5. At no time will weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and animals (except guide dogs) be
allowed inside the church facilities.
6. Non-members, who are given approval for using the facilities, must have their own
liability insurance with a minimum coverage of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00), and
submit the insurance certificate to the church two (2) weeks prior to the use of the
facilities.
7. All persons who use the facilities must dress and behave appropriately to the event.
8. A Security Deposit of $250.00 is required with the application and total payment must be
paid 5 days prior to the event for non-members.
9. Member of the church may not rent any rooms or buildings and give it as a gift to other
people.
10. We allow you two days prior to your event to set up. Set up days cannot be Sundays or
Wednesdays. All tables, chairs, kitchen appliances, kitchen and cooking items, trashcans,
and cleaning supplies need to be returned to their proper places.
11. Rental member is responsible to monitor their children while setting up the event. No
children running on the stage or touching church equipment. The cost of repairing and/or
replacing damaged equipment due to negligence will be paid by the responsible party.
12. Responsible Party is required to maintain a cleanly, mopped kitchen and dining floor,
counters, and restrooms after the event. Responsible party will be charged for additional
cleaning job.

*If chairs were removed to accommodate the event, it needs to be reset according to the diagram
after the event. This fee applies to the Responsible Party that do not wish to reset the chairs
themselves. This fee will be wave if the Responsible Party resets the chairs after the event.

PLEASE READ, INITIAL, SIGN AND DATE THE FOLLOWING:
____ The Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church Governing Board has the right to deny your application, if your
event is not one of the permissive events indicated in the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church’s Regulations for
Renting Church Facilities (provided to the applicant with this application).
____ In case of emergencies, safety reasons, or circumstances beyond the control of the church, the Governing
Board reserves the right to revoke the application or cancel the scheduled event without liability. In such a
case, the Church Governing Board will make a total refund as necessary.
____ Security deposits should be submitted with the application.
____ Full amount of rental fee must be paid to Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church 5 days prior to the event.
____ Security deposit will be refunded based on the condition of the room/building whether it is restored to its
original condition or damaged after use. Cleanliness includes: tables and chairs wiped clean; spills cleaned the
floor; all trash bags pick up and taken to the dumpster located outside; and all equipment cleaned and
returned to their original place. If the damage costs more than the deposit, the Church Governing Board will
charge you based on the cost to restore it.
Note: If requirements are met, security deposits will be refunds within 21 business days.
____ A minimum liability and bodily injury insurance coverage of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) is required
per event (except church events and members). The insurance certificate must be submitted two weeks prior
to the event date specifying the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church as the addition insured.

____ I hereby attest that the forgoing information is true and that should any information be found to be false or
should any conduct by myself, participants or guests not be as described in the application; or should any
applicable city, state or federal rules, regulations, codes, or laws be violated, said permit will be deemed null
and void; and any activity associated with this permit will immediately cease.
____ I/user agree to indemnity, defend, and hold harmless the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church members,
staff, officials, and volunteers from all actions, liabilities, claims, damages to personal property, losses, costs,
penalties, obligations, errors, or omissions that may be asserted or claimed by any person, firm, or entity arising
of or in the connection with the event/activities on your application, whether or not there is concurrent passive
or active negligence on the part of the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church to its staff.
____ I agree to be financially responsible for any costs and damages to Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church
property, costs associated with any public safety directly or indirectly a result of the event; costs of all attorney
fees, costs of the provisions and/or false information on the applications; and cost exceeding the deposits and
fees of the application already collected by the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church or provisions related to
the church regulations of use/rental of this facility.
