There will be divisions established based on 16 yd. scores. “Pots” will be split between each division first and second place finishers based on total scores in the four disciplines. 5 Rangemaster Sound Off By: Tim Geiser – CRSO • [email protected] Dust Limit- Rather than a Speed Limit at our range we have a Dust Limit. If you drive in and are making dust you are going too fast. Slow down! I know you are anxious to start shooting, but leaving a layer of dust on everyone else’s gear is a poor way to win friends and influence people! Range Lights - First mentioned last month I have received a very positive response from many members. The Assoc. BOD has conceptually accepted the idea and I am putting together a drawing package and pinning the cost down. I hope to have the systems installed by April. It will mean a bit of a re-write for the range rules and anyone who would like to help in the process, please feel free to get in touch with me. I am not taking credit for this particular idea; other ranges already do it in one form or another. I am always on the lookout for ideas to make the range a safer place. Feel free to bring your ideas forward at any time! Iron core or iron cased bullets continue to be a problem on the range. Remember if an RSO magnet attracts them, you will be asked to remove them from the range. For those of you who cannot read the words already on this matter check this out! Steel cases are OK. IRON CORE BULLETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE EF&GA RANGE PERIOD! Safety Glasses are mandatory when shooting on the Range. This applies to any one ahead of the yellow and it is also recommended for spectators behind the yellow line. This rule applies without question for all casual shooting. Some members seem to think that it does not apply when they are shooting .22s. Be assured that it does. There are no exceptions. Shoot Chairs are expected to set the example for their shoots and see that these rules are enforced. When you sign in on the Green Sheet you are agreeing to the rules governing your time on the range. I suggest that everyone read those rules every once in a while and become enlightened. First Aid boxes are kept supplied on each range, but it has happened that supplies were used and we were not kept apprised. The Association has provided first aid fanny packs for the RSOs to wear while on duty. I am instructing all duty RSOs to check one out while on duty and notify me if any supplies were used. The packs have a larger selection of supplies and in an emergency will be much better to have on hand.
