S. S. Regular Activities. 1) 18/7/2013: Participation in “Street Play Competition” 18th Jan 2014: TARANG 2014 - Celebrated Annual Cultural Event at BMIT campus, Solapur. The total function lasts over 3 hrs and around 20 different acts were performed which shows talent of the BMIT Students. Over 160 students participated in this event. NSS volunteers group(8 students) presented “Pathnatya” in street Play competition held by Kirloskar International Film Festival –Vasundhara at Hutatma Chaowk solapur. This Pathnatya basically is on “ how all types of pollutions are going to destroy our vasundhura & what are solution to save/ protect nature (vasundhara) “They won conslation Prize in this competition.for this competition volunteers got the guidance of Prof. Lavnis sir. 2) 3/8/2013: Tree Plantation Activity in inter college cultural competition. Third Prize in IN JALLOSH - A State level Dance On occasion of “Birth Day” of MLA & President Mr. Diliprao Mane Sir we had organized “ Tree Plantation Activity” at BMIT College Campus. Total 85 N.S.S. Volunters are participated & 8 NSS volunteers guided them who attended the workshop on “Tree Plantation” at Social Forestry Division, solapur(Smruti Udyan) conducted by Mr.shinde sir(Lagwad Adhikari,SFD,Solapur). In this programme one tree was planted by President Mr.Diliprao Mane Sir as innaugration of this “tree plantation” NSS regular Activity. Gulmohar 18 plants & Raintree 14 Plants,total 32 plants planted in this activity. competition: Vinay Mashal and group [MJ Lovers] (B.E MECH) Third Prize in LAKSHYA- 3) 15/8/13 : March-past & Tree Plantation Activity 11th Feb 14th Feb 2014: BMIT Vichar Manthan - An Interactive knowledge based program where “Knowledge meets youth” was organized in the month of Feb 2014 in the memory of 85th birth anniversary of late Shri. Brahmadev Dada Mane. Our students have performed the Dance acts during opening and closing ceremony. On the occasion of “Independence Day” we had organized again tree plantation at BMIT College campus in front of bank because this year rainy season was good. Total 45 NSS volunteers are participated in this activity & total 26 Gulmohar Plants were planted by them. NSS volunteers regularly taking case of planted plants by performing paste control and using various pestiside. 4) 3/9/13: “College Katta” Program We had organized a very new programe(College Katta) with innovative ideas as NSS Regular activity on Occasion of “Smruti Din”of Kai.Amdar Brahmdevdada mane & celebration “Saddabhavna Day” of “Rajiv Gandhi Jayanti” in association with In solapur News, T.V. Channel solapur. Reporters of In Solapur. News TV Channel Mr.Aditya Gadgil & Mr.Bhimashankar Patil conducted this programme for NSS volunteers & by NSS Volunteers. They had taken openions ,thoughts ,suggussion from open discussion with NSS volunteers on the subjects-Student role for saddabhavna of India, & drawbacks & Benefits of social networking websites on society. Total 84 NSS Volunteers are participated in this open discussion. The end of programme some NSSS volunteers presented Dance,singing & other art skills in front of TV Channel camera.This programme is telecasted on In solapur News TV channel on 16/9/2013 at 10:00pm. 5) 2/10/2013 : Program on Gandhi Jayanti Programme on “Ghandhi Jayanti” he had organized NSS Regular Activity. Programme was started with photopooja of Mahatma Gandhiji, Lalbahadur shastri & Kai. Amdar Brahmdevdada Mane. At the beginning of programme gandhi's Bhajan & Peace sang by NSS volunteers group. There was speech presented by NSS volunteers & staff of each department of BMIT College on the subject “Non Volience & Huminity”.10 NSS volunteers group presented a Mukhnatya on “Unity & Patriotism”. Power-Point slide Presentation, charts are presented on Gandhi's life, thoughts ,peace, non-violence by NSS Volunteers. End of the program,there was pledge for non-violence & peace total 208 NSS voluntees participated for this programme. Library Report P. B. Ghadage Librarians are considered be the heart of educational institutions. They are playing a very role in teaching, leering and research. Libraries from a vital part of world system of communication and education. Librarianship has reached a stage where the ability professional to obtain, store, process, retrieve and display the right information to the right user at the right time. The library has spacious main stack, circulation section, reprographic section, periodical section, non-book material section and digital library section and also separate reading section. All the books are according to Dewey decimal classification scheme. The Library has 20414 books and subscribed 92 journals. Apart from this library has subscribed. Reference Services 5.Reprographic Service Working Hours of the Library:Main Library - 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Special arrangements are made to keep the library open on Sunday, Holidays and also library is working up to 12 midnight at the time of P.L. 6) 9th to 15th Jan-2014 : Participation in National Integration Camp MOU for Inter Library Loan Facility at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Solapur. Two NSS volunteers are selected from BMIT College for attending NSS-National Integration Camp at Visvesvaraya Technological University. “Jnana Sangama” Belgaum-18 Karnataka. Mr.Akude Pradip & Miss Boddaupalli Anusha attended & participated in number of Activitives had organized in NIC & won prizes in the same. Suggestion Box. 7) 26th Jan 2014- Pathnatya on “Matdan Jan -Jagruta” Motivate Group of 8 NSS volunteers presented pathnatya on “Matdan Jan Jagrutata” to motivate all students, teaching & non teaching staff for voting at coming Election-2014. In pathnatya, they focused on “how single vote reflects an aspiration value, the vote is right which the people exercise so as to have the freedom to select a candidate out of choice available before them.
