Why is DHL changing my standard shipping rates?
To ensure we continue to guarantee you the industry’s highest-quality international service performance, DHL
Express adjusts its prices annually – taking into account inflation and the rising network costs of providing best-inclass air express services to and from the more than 220 countries and territories that we serve.
Exactly how will the standard rates be affected?
Shipping rates for all DHL Express U.S. international services will increase by an average of 4.9%.
Are all DHL services affected by the rate change?
Yes. The changes in rates will apply to all DHL Express U.S. international services.
When will the rate change take effect?
The new standard rates will be effective Friday, January 2, 2015.
Where can I find the 2015 standard shipping rates or obtain a rate quote?
As of January 2, 2015, you can use our online Rate Quote and Transit Time Tool or login to WebShip at My DHL
Express to calculate the 2015 shipping rate and service charges.
Additionally, the 2015 DHL Express Rate & Transit Guide is currently available on our website.
Will Optional Services and Surcharges change? Where can I find details?
Yes, some Optional Services and Surcharges will change:

Address Correction will increase from $11.00 per shipment to $12.50 per shipment

Change of Billing will increase from $11.00 per shipment to $12.50 per shipment

Remote Area Pick-up for import shipments originating from remote areas will increase from $0.28 per half
kilogram with a minimum of $28.00 per shipment to $0.30 per half kilogram with a minimum of $30.00 per
shipment

Remote Area Delivery for export shipments destined to remote areas will increase from $0.28 per pound with a
minimum of $28.00 per shipment to $0.30 per pound with a minimum of $30.00 per shipment

Residential Delivery will increase from $3.35 per shipment to $3.50 per shipment

Payment Deferment will increase from greater of $6.50 or 2% of amount advanced to greater of $7 or 2% of
amount advanced

Shipment Value Protection (SVP) will increase from $0.90 per $100 for shipments valued in excess of $100
($2.90 minimum) to $0.95 per $100 for shipments valued in excess of $100 ($2.90 minimum)

Over Handled Piece* (OHP) will increase from $50.00 per shipment to $57.50 per shipment

Over Sized Piece* (OSP) will increase from $50.00 per shipment to $57.50 per shipment

Over Weight Piece* (OWP) will increase from $50.00 per shipment to $57.50 per shipment
* No more than one $57.50 Non-Standard Shipment surcharge for OHP, OSP or OWP will apply per shipment.
