NON-TEACHING i. Director of Works and Maintenance ii. Head, Corporate Affairs Unit iii. Head, Information and Communication Technology Unit QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A. ACADEMIC i. Professor Candidates must possess a PhD with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision, as well as a strong record of substantial publications in reputable international journals. In addition, candidates must have a good measure of academic leadership and an understanding of university governance. ii. Associate Professor (Reader) As above, but with not less than eight years of university teaching and research experience with a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Candidates must also possess some measure of academic leadership and an understanding of university governance. iii. Senior Lecturer As above, but with at least six years’ post-qualification experience in teaching, research and academic administration. iv. Lecturer I As above, but with at least three years’ post-qualification experience in teaching, research and academic administration. B. NON-TEACHING i. Director of Works and Maintenance Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, and must be fully registered with appropriate professional body with at least 12 years’ post-qualification experience in a higher institution or corporate organization. Successful candidate must be able to show evidence of administrative ability. ii. Head, Corporate Affairs Unit Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or other related disciplines with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in the print or broadcast media. Possession of Master’s degree in Mass Communication or related disciplines and membership of professional bodies will be an added advantage. iii. Head, Information and Communication Technology Unit Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a higher institution or corporate organization. Possession of Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and membership of professional bodies will be an added advantage.
