CiplaQCIL is a state-of-the-art WHO certified pharmaceutical manufacturing plant located at Luzira Industrial Park, Kampala producing anti-retroviral drugs
(ARV’s) & Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs) to combat HIV/AIDS and Malaria respectively.
Founded in 2005, it is a joint venture between Uganda’s Quality Chemicals Limited & Cipla Ltd, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company. Designed to meet
the world’s most stringent regulatory standards, CiplaQCIL is looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, and committed team players to reinforce their
capacity by filling the following positions.
A) QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICERS (2)
Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager
The main roles include:
1. Ensuring that the sourcing of material, manufacturing, and testing is
carried out as per dossier
2. Assisting in the conducting of in-process checks, self-inspection,
vendor and quality audits, and investigations that regularly appraise the
effectiveness and applicability of quality assurance systems
3. Assisting in the evaluation possibilities of product reprocessing, handling
product quality complaints and product recall cases with urgency
4. Preparing SOPs, their reviews, issuance, withdrawal and disposal
5. Assembling and assisting in the review of all documentation relating to
the processing, packaging and testing of each product batch
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in science, or any other relevant course, with a minimum
of two (2) years demonstrable experience in a pharmaceutical plant setup.
B) QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER (2)
Reports to the Quality Control Manager
The main roles include:
1. Carrying out dossier reviews and ensuring that the sourcing of materials
and testing is carried out as per dossier
2. Conducting product analyses, and analyses of stability studies
3. Preparing of trend analyses for water systems, air handling systems and
environment control
4. Recording and maintaining all documentation relating to the quality
control work for each product batch
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Science Technology, or Industrial Chemistry, with a
minimum of two (2) years’ demonstrable experience in a pharmaceutical
manufacturing set up.
C) PACKING OFFICER (1)
Reports to Production Manager
The main roles include:
1. Maintain the operational status of packing machines in the prescribed
standard
2. Manage in-process parameter checking, take batch details, and maintain
downtime record
3. Manage and participate in machine and area cleaning as per SOPs for
both product and batch change-overs.
4. Monitor efficiency trends of packing machines by documenting
equipment cleaning logs and machine history records
5. Filling of Batch Packing Records and daily documents.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in, Science, Technology or Industrial Chemistry and any
other relevant course, with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a
pharmaceutical setup.
D) STORES OFFICER (1)
Reports to Stores Manager
The main roles include:
1. Receiving of raw materials & packing materials and miscellaneous
materials in Store.
2. Dispensing of raw materials, packing materials and miscellaneous
materials.
3. Maintaining of inventory/stock records.
4. Determining procedural standards that cater for the maintenance of
desired inventory levels and making timely follow-up with procurement
team.
5. Assisting in the handling of damaged containers, returned stocks,
rejected vendor materials and recalled batches
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Science with relevant course in stores management,
a minimum of two (2) years demonstrable experience in a pharmaceutical
setup.
