BOLIDT COATING 24039 Composition BOLIDT COATING 24039 consists of 2 components, based on waterborne polyurethane emulsions, which have to be mixed into a perfectly homogeneous mass shortly before use. Application The principal application of BOLIDT COATING 24039 is the coating of synthetic floors, wood, polyester panels, etc., by which the surface obtains a dust, scratch and wear resistant transparent coating. Properties BOLIDT COATING 24039 is usually applied in two layers, thus hardly influencing the structure of the substrate. First to stir Component A thoroughly, before adding Component B. Mix thoroughly (for 3 min.). Pour the mixture in a clean drum, and mix well again. An intensive mixing of the Components A and B is essential. ADD NO WATER, NOR ADD SOLVENTS!! Leave the mixture at rest for 10 min. before applying the material (induction time). Neglecting this induction time will result in uneven gloss after curing. CAUTION: Take care that no solid coating film drops into the material from the lid. Application BOLIDT COATING 24039 can be applied by lambs roller. Spread the material evenly over the surface area. Apply any the second layer (if necessary) after the first is completely cured, usually this is after 24 hours, but within 5 days. When the second layer is to be applied after more than 5 days, first grind the first layer well. Material is to be applied at temperatures ranging from 10 to 30°C, and a relative humidity of the air less than 80%. Curing After 24 hours at 15 °C the BOLIDT COATING 24039 is well enough cured for foot traffic, and after 48 hours the BOLIDT COATING 24039 can be fully charged. Complete chemical curing has taken place after 7 days (at 20°C). Substrate All substrates must be at least at 8°C, and at least 3°C above the dew point temperature for proper adhesion. Synthetic floors These substrates (surface smooth and sealed) must be fully cured and maximum 3 days old. Substrates must be completely dry, clean and free of grease. Substrates older than 3 days must be grinded first. Remove all dust before applying BOLIDT COATING 24039.
