ERECRUITING SYSTEM– APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS • • • • • • • • • • ACCESSING THE ERECRUTING SYSTEM 1. Launch Internet Explorer. Go to http://www.ssmhc.com 2. On the SSM Homepage, select the Employment/Volunteers link in red on the left side of the page. 3. Click a location from the list to view current openings at that location. The job search page that appears in a new web browser will be pre-filtered for jobs available at the selected location. 4. From the Job Search page you can enter specific criteria to narrow or expand your search selection (by location, job function, keyword, etc.). Remember after updating search criteria you must click “Search for Jobs” to refresh the list. 5. When you have found the job you are interested in applying for, click “Apply.” If you did not find a specific job that fits your criteria, you may instead just register as a user on our site and set up a candidate profile. 6. External Applicants: If this is your first time visiting the site, you must register as a user and must have a valid email address. If you do not have an email address, you can create one at any of the following websites: www.yahoo.com, www.gmail.com, and www.hotmail.com. • To register, click “Sign In” at the top right of the page. Click “New User” and follow the instructions. After the account is complete, you may proceed with the application process if you have found a job of interest. • If you are a returning user, you may just click “Sign In” and enter your login information to begin applying for positions or to update your candidate profile. 7. Internal Applicants: All current SSMHC employees already have an account set up in this system. In the User Name field, enter your 8 digit employee number. In the Password field, enter the last 4 digits of your SSN and Birth MMDD. After logging in, you may proceed with the application process if you have found a job of interest or can instead just update your candidate profile. • APPLYING FOR A POSITION 1. The application process is composed of several forms. Within each form, fields that have a red asterisk must be completed, as it is required information. The forms in the process are: • • SSM Questionnaire (for external applicants only) Resume Parsing (The system uploads the file and extracts some data included in the resume. Some fields may need to be verified or manually entered) 2/4/2014 Personal Information Work Experience References Education Certifications Job-Specific Questionnaire Additional Attachments Diversity Information eSignature Summary (Must click submit to complete application process!) 2. After completing each step you can either Save and Continue to the next section or Save as Draft to continue at a later time. 3. If you choose to Save as Draft, you will access the draft application at a later time by clicking on the My Job Page link. You will then have the option to finish the application process. COMPLETING AN APPLICATION 1. The eSignature page is one of the final steps of the process. Applicants will click Save and Continue to proceed to the summary page where they can view/edit any entries made during the application process. At this point, applicants may click Submit to complete the application or Save as Draft. 2. Applicants will receive an email confirmation that their application was received. Note: If the applicant does not click “Submit” their application will be considered incomplete. The status of an incomplete submission will appear as “Finish Draft Submission” on the applicant’s Job Page. JOB STATUS NOTIFICATIONS • Applicants can check the status of applications by logging in to the eRecruiting system and clicking the My Job Page tab. • Applicants will receive email correspondence when they are no longer under consideration or when the position is closed. • Candidates may also opt to receive email notification when positions that match their profile are posted. PASSWORD ISSUES? From the Login page, applicants can click the Forgot Username or Password links to regain access to the system. If an applicant is locked out, they may wait 15 minutes to regain entry to the system.
