SPEAKER PROFILES:
BAIHAS BAGHDADI is Head of International Trade and Working Capital at Barclays Bank, leading TWC teams
operating in all markets outside the UK and Africa which includes the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. He
has been a member of Barclays’ Global Trade Management team since 2010, supporting Multinational and Large
Corporates by facilitating their trade business flows. Baihas has 20 years of banking experience in corporate
products working for international banks. He joined Barclays in February 2008 as Commercial Banking Products
Director for the Spain franchise. Before joining Barclays, Baihas worked for almost 5 years for Fortis Bank (now
part of BNP Paribas) as Head of Trade Services Iberia & Specialized Financial Services. Baihas started his banking
career at Arab Bank plc in Europe.

DINESH KHANNA is Regional Head and Managing Director, Transaction Banking – MENAP at Standard Chartered
Bank. Dinesh is responsible for the Bank’s Cash Management, Trade Finance and Securities Services Business for
the MENAP region. Dinesh started his career with Citibank in 1989 in Financial Control. He joined ANZ Grindlays
worked in the Debt Capital Markets and then moved to Coverage and subsequently Standard Chartered Bank in
2000, where he was Regional Head Corporate Bank for South India and later North India till 2007 before taking on
the role of Regional Head of Transaction banking South Asia based in Mumbai. He took over as Regional Head
Transaction Banking – MENAP beginning of 2014. By qualification Dinesh is a Chartered Accountant.
PETER GISLER was appointed Head of Export and Trade Finance at ABB Asea Brown Boveri Ltd in June 2007. In this
role he is responsible for all activities in the ABB Group related to Bank Guarantees, Bonding Lines, Parent Company
Guarantees, Documentary Letter of Credits, advisory in connection with ECA financing, project financing and ECA
coverage. From 2001 to 2007 he was the Country Treasurer at ABB Schweiz AG. Prior to that he held the position
as Head Export and Trade Finance at Aargauische Kantonalbank (1998-2001) and Assistant Vice President Export
Finance at UBS AG (1988-1998). He obtained a Swiss Federal Diploma in Banking, and has a Higher Diploma in
Export Management from School of International Business, which he earned in 2003.
RAVI KUMAR is the Head of Business Innovation & Projects at Dubai Trade. He has international experience in eGovernance, e-Payments, Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Services and Insurance domains. He has been
instrumental in developing many key initiatives in Dubai such as the Dubai eGovernment’s “ePay” and Dubai
Trade’s “Rosoom” ePayment gateways. Prior to joining Dubai Trade, he worked to set-up a 4PL joint venture in the
Middle East. He is experienced in developing innovative e-Commerce business models that require integration
with government agencies in the area of global trade facilitation. He is a board member of the Global Innovation
Management Institute, USA. He is an MBA degree holder from the London Business School and also holds a
Master’s degree in Physics from BITS – Pilani, India.
RUDOLF PUTZ is Head of EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Programme and has more than 30 years of experience in
financing trade with Eastern Europe & CIS countries. He started his professional career in 1983 as Deputy Head of
the Commodity Trade Finance Department of Centro Internationale Handelsbank AG Vienna, a subsidiary of
Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB). In 1993 Rudolf Putz joined HELM AG Hamburg as Head of Structured Trade Finance
and from 1996 to 1997 he was Account Manager Structured Trade Finance in Bank Austria International Trade
Services. In 1997 he became Director Trade Finance in Deutsche Handelsbank AG Berlin and since 2000 he has
been developing EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Programme. Rudolf Putz holds a Doctor’s Degree from the Vienna
University of Economics & Business Administration.
YAW ADU KUFFOUR is the head of the Trade Finance in the Private Sector Department of the African
Development Bank. Prior to Joining the African Development Bank 6 years ago, Mr. Kuffour worked in banking and
industry for more than 10 years and held corporate finance positions in Accra, London and Johannesburg. He has

led and worked on several transactions involving project finance, structured finance, syndicated loans, and fixed
income instruments across Africa. He serves on the Board of ZEP-RE (i.e. PTA Reinsurance Company). Mr. Kuffour
holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science (with Honors) from the University of Ghana, Legon and an MBA
(Finance) from McGill University, Canada.
