Meet our Executive Chef, John Smola
The Warrington Country Club features Executive Chef, John Smola, whom takes pride in
his excellent food and commitment that we have to quality, the ingredients of which
The Warrington is famous for by their clientele. John brings excitement and
sophistication with cutting-edge culinary trends and techniques to The Warrington.
After studying in New York at the Culinary Institute of America, chef Smola was named
the youngest member of international restaurateur Walter Staib’s executive culinarians,
and one of his “rising star chefs” for his diversity of ingredients, flavors, and his overall
plate presentation. John has been an executive chef for over 16 years and his talents,
state-of-the-art techniques, and kitchen management skills are boldly displayed at
every event at The Warrington.
Before coming to Warrington, chef Smola honed his talents at such prestigious
establishments as the Clinton Inn Hotel (Tenafly, NJ) Pen Ryn Mansion/Belle Voir Manor
(On the Delaware River in Bensalem, PA) Chef Tells Grand Old House (Cayman Islands,
B.W.I.) and Concepts by Staib-Shula's Steak 2 (Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL). John earned
certifications from the American Culinary Federation and the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania Established Apprentice Training Program. He has also been recognized by
Catersource Magazine and Brandywine Magazine for his achievements in elaborate
displays, elegant events, and best entrée. The food at The Warrington is freshly
prepared and John specializes in the perfect fusion of color, taste, and presentation.
