Announcements
Generosity Offering in February: CIVIC (Community Initiatives for
Visiting Immigrants in Confinement). CIVIC is a national non-profit whose mission
is to end the isolation and abuse of people in U.S. immigration detention through
visitation, independent monitoring, storytelling, and advocacy. The heart of CIVIC’s
work is community-based and volunteer-run immigration detention visitation programs.
These programs also engage volunteers in the problems inherent in immigration
detention, and over time, transform them into committed and empathetic advocates. To
learn more about CIVIC, you can go to: www.endisolation.org.

Month--Are you interested in volunteering your time to support Sunday morning
worship? Are you good with powerpoint? Do you have basic technology skills? We’re
looking for volunteers to help run our slides and audio on Sunday mornings, with a

community to come together to reflect, celebrate, and continue our work to fulfill
our mission and vision. This meeting will offer updates on the South Bay expansion
at our current location, as well as an opportunity to imagine together the use of the
new space, and its impact on priorities and programming. On Sunday morning, we
also invite you to bring something to share for a potluck so that we can have enough
food and energy for our meeting. This meeting will be held in English & Spanish, as
we continue to create a truly multi-cultural and bi-lingual community! For more
