*THE CALL TO WORSHIP
Rev. Donna Y. McClure
Pastor:
I was glad when they said unto me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord!”
Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!
People:
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere, I would
rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the
tents of wickedness.
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.
They are planted in the house of the Lord, they flourish in the courts of
our God.
O Lord, I love the habitation of your house, and the place where your glory
dwells.

People:
But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before
him.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in
your sight. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
O sing unto the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things! I
will sing of loyalty and of justice to you O Lord, I will sing.

Where would I be if He hadn’t sacrificed His life, Oh but I’m glad, so glad He did

*THE DECALOGUE
Leader:
Rev. Ronald Jones
God spoke all these words: I am God, your God, who brought you out of a life of
slavery. No other gods, only ME. No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of
anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or swim. Don’t bow down to
them and don’t serve them because I am God, your God, and I’m a most jealous God,
punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes,
even to the fourth generation of those who hate me. But I’m unswervingly loyal to the
thousands who love me and keep my commandments. No using the name of God in
curses or silly banter; God won’t put up with the irreverent use of God’s name.
Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Honor your father and mother so that you’ll
live a long time in the land that God is giving you. No murder, no adultery.
No stealing. No lies about your neighbor. Don’t set your heart on anything that belongs
to your neighbor.
People: LORD, have mercy upon us, and write these laws upon our hearts.
Nearer, my God to Thee, nearer to Thee!
E’en though it be a cross that raiseth me;
Still all my song shall be, nearer my God to Thee;
nearer my God to Thee, nearer to Thee.
Leader: Hear what Christ thou Savior says: Love the Lord your God with all thy heart, with all
thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment and the second
is like unto it.
All:
Thou should love thy neighbor as thy self on these two commandments depend all the
laws.
*THE GLORIA PATRI No. 626
Choir and Congregation
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in
the beginning is now and ever shall be, World without end, Amen.

THE MINISTRY OF GIVING
Givers Creed: This is my Seed. It shall meet all my Needs. I give it today, because I
Obey – my God and His Command. My tithe is out of Obedience. My offering is my
Sacrifice. My return shall be Magnified, because I’ve learned to give Right. I’m the Head
and not the tail. A Lender and not a borrower. I’m on Top and not the bottom. Because I
give, I am Blessed. In the City and in the Field. I’m Blessed because I give my God my
Best. Today and everyday, I am blessed!

THE GENERAL CONFESSION
Ministers and Congregation
Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Maker of all things, judge of all men, we
acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness which we from time to time
most grievously have committed by thought, word, and deed against Your divine Majesty,
provoking most justly Your wrath and indignation against us. We do earnestly repent and
are heartily sorry for these our misdoings; the remembrance of them is grievous unto us.
Have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us, most merciful Father for Your Son our Lord
Jesus Christ’s sake; forgive us all that is past, and grant that we may ever hereafter serve
and please You in newness of life, to the honor and glory of Your name, through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
