WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
*CALL TO WORSHIP
In your wisdom, O God, you call us here to worship you.
We gather, alive to the Word of God.
You call us to be fully alive with your abundant life,
ready to listen and respond with heart, soul, strength, and mind.
We listen, alive to the Word of God.
You call us to be always watchful for your Word of wisdom,
sometimes startling and unexpected,
sometimes still and quiet, but always dwelling among us.
We watch and wait for the Word of God.
Let us worship God!

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious God,
our sins are too heavy to carry,
too real to hide,
and too deep to undo.
Forgive what our lips fear to speak aloud,
and what our hearts can no longer bear.
We Gather Together
Silent Prayers
O Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers,
Set us free from a past that we cannot change;
open to us a future in which we can be changed;
and grant us grace to live more and more into your Word, into your way;
through Jesus Christ, our savior and our redeemer. Amen.
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON
*PASSING OF THE PEACE
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
YOUTH MOMENT
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory forever. Amen.

I was glad when they said to me,
‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’

INVITATION
GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise…
…Therefore we praise you,
joining our voices with the heavenly choirs
and with all the faithful of every time and place,
who forever sing to the glory of your name:
Hymn 581
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your
glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the
Lord. Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.
…for great is the mystery of faith.
Christ has died,
Christ is risen,
Christ will come again.
Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honor are yours, eternal God, now and forever. Amen.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION
COMMUNION
All Christians are invited to participate in the Sacrament fully.
It is our custom to commune at the time we are served the bread and the cup.
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
5
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only son of God, eternally
begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he
came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the
Virgin Mary and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death
and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with
the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right
hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living
and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who
proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the
Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the
prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We
acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the
resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
*SUNG RESPONSE (Tune 579)
Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.
World without end. Amen. Amen.
GIVING OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS
PRAYER OF DEDICATION
God of wonder, we offer you these humble gifts, signs of your goodness and

SEALING THE WORD
Lowe
4
To it the tribes go up,
the tribes of the Lord,
as was decreed for Israel,
to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5
For there the thrones for judgement were set up,
the thrones of the house of David.
6
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
‘May they prosper who love you.
7
Peace be within your walls,
and security within your towers.’
8
For the sake of my relatives and friends
I will say, ‘Peace be within you.’
9
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good.
