Korps Scheele (Corps Scheele) Corps Scheele was activated early in 1943 to relieve the XLVII Corps on the Eastern front. The Corps had the task of closing the breach made by a Soviet breakthrough. The counter-attack to accomplish this was Operation'Hoesselsprung". The Corps was incorporated into the LV Army Corps in the spring of 1943 by order of General Rudolf Schmidt, Commander of the Second Panzer Army. The Corps was commanded by General Hans-Karl Scheele.
