2015 Junior Intensive Workshop OBS Seminole Campus June 22 - July 17, 2015 The Junior Intensive Workshop is a summer program designed for students age 8 & up in O.B.S. levels 1B through level 3A and including non-OBS students. ALL students must audition. Workshop audition is at OBS North Campus, February 21, 2015 at 12:00 pm (ages 8-11) and 1:00 pm (ages 11+Up). $30 audition fee. If you cannot attend this audition, DVD auditions are accepted; DVD audition fee $40. [Link to DVD audition form] Students are encouraged to participate in the four-week program, but have the option to participate in either the first three or last three weeks or a first or last two-week program. All are full day programs with classes starting at 9:30am with pick up at 4:45pm. The Workshop continues to build technical as well as performance dance skill emphasizing Ballet repertoire. There is a final performance at the conclusion of the workshop, Friday, July 17. Daily Schedule: Classes take place Monday through Friday (9:30am-4:45pm); students arrive dressed for Ballet. This program offers a variety of dance genres throughout the day ending with a hands-on workshop in theater production, including costume, prop and set construction. Student participation and proper behavior are required. TUITION: Full-day four-week program: $900. Full-day three-week program: $750. Full-day two-week program: $500 DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of $100 included with your registration form received by May 1, 2015 will reserve your place upon audition acceptance. Waiting list deposits are also non-refundable. The tuition balance for either four, three or two-week program is due on June 22, 2015; the first day of the workshop. SHOWCASE: Students will present a studio performance at the conclusion of the four week session, Friday, July 17. LUNCH: Students must bring a bag lunch and protein snacks. Microwave and refrigerator are NOT available. Cash- only orders may be placed with administrator daily (by 10:00am) for Carmela’s Restaurant take-out (for lunch break only.) WORKSHOP LOCATION: Junior Intensive Workshop is held at the Orlando Ballet School Seminole (North) Campus: 1811 West State Road 434 Longwood, FL 32750 (Longwood Village Plaza at the I-4 Longwood exit #94 and Raymond Avenue). REQUIRED* DANCE ATTIRE: Girls: Solid color leotards, pink tights (no anklets), pink split-sole leather ballet slippers and tan split-sole jazz shoes. Black camisole leotard, pastel camisole leotard, black ballet skirt, pastel ballet skirt and any solid color jazz shorts. These and other items can be purchased in the OBS boutique. Hair must be in a neat ballet bun with hairnet. Boys: White fitted shirt, black fitted shirt, dance belt, black shorts (with white socks), black footed tights, black ballet shoes and black split-sole jazz shoes. Production classes require paint clothes and closed-toed shoes. (OBS not responsible for ruined clothes.) Students are assigned a cubby in which to store their personal items. A small laundry basket is needed only for Dress Rehearsal and Show. Please label all items. *FIRST days of Workshop sessions (June 22 and July 6) girls must wear black leotard, pink tights, pink shoes and boys must wear white shirt, black tights and black ballet shoes.
