European CDI Observation Events for 2015 Pan American Games
Dear 2015 Pan American Games Dressage Candidates,
Per the Selection Procedures for the 2015 Pan American Games Dressage Team (click here), it is anticipated that eight
(8) combinations (made up of a combination of Small and Big Tour) will be invited to compete in at least two
designated European CDI Observations Events. Any additional competitions would require approval by the Chef
d’Equipe/Technical Advisor and may be self-funded.
The following events have been designated as the European CDI Observation Events:
Munchen-Reim (GER) CDI1*/3*/5* May 14-17, 2015
Lipica (SLO) CDIW/3* May 22-14, 2015
Aachen (GER) CDI5* May 30-31, 2015 - By invitation only for Big Tour Combinations
Achleiten (AUT) CDI4* June 4-7, 2015
Achleiten (AUT) CDI4* will be required as final European Observation Event for all combinations. However, if an
athlete has received an exception as outlined in Section I.C.2 of the Selection Procedures or if a Big Tour combination
has competed at Aachen CDI5* they may be excused from this Event. Athletes will have the choice of Munchen-Reim
or Lipica, and subject to approval by the PAG Selectors and Chef d’Equipe.
There will be a US base available for athletes named to the European CDI Observation Event Squad.
The final Team selection will be done on or before the Final Entry, June 10 th. It is anticipated that athlete/horse
combinations named to the team will be required to return to USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, NJ by July
3, 2015 prior to departure for the Pan American Games venue.
The Dressage portion of the 2015 Pan American Games is July 10-14, 2015.
